HOW COULD THERE BE A FAMINE WHERE THERE ARE FISH AND GAME GALORE? IRELAND WOULD NOT BEND TO THE ENGLISH.SO THEY WERE STARVED DELIBERATELY. MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS ( all of them ) WERE STARVED AT THE HANDS OF THAT THRONE...

I believe we are told a lot of lies in school about history in particular and it leaves too many folk in the dark about what the British Empire has done to the world, its about time the lies were forgotten and the truth was told

Truth is important, responsibility should be taken, both as long overdue signs of respect to those who died, those who survived and those who never came into being because their ancestors were starved to death.

Too many people around the globe are ignorant to the fact that this was a Holocaust and only go by hearsay or reading and listening to the British propaganda media throughout the years that this horrific time in Irish history was made out to be caused by "potato blight". The world and in particular the British people should be made aware of the truth. By getting this petition up and running should hopefully push this issue forward and prompt the Brit establishment to acknowledge another one of their many atrocities perpetrated since time immemorial. Erin go bragh

I visited Ireland in 2014 and after visiting museums, etc., I became aware of this horrible crime that was committed against my ancestors and millions of others. Since then I have researched it through various books and news articles. The truth must be told!!!

I feel the Irish people should stop being politically correct. It's time to stand-up and speak up about the injustices that were done in the past by the British rulers in our country. Sad that many of those that were felt continued to suffer through poverty and discrimination because we were only bog Irish to the Brits.

I know my family history. The stories have come down. Many of us know the truth, because our families made sure we remembered it. We were driven from our homes, and yes, there was food all around us... we just weren't allowed to eat it.

To register my discust at how this Irish Holocaust was allowed to happen by heartless politicians passing cruel and unjust laws, allowing rich and greedy absentee landlords to ignore the plight of their starving and diseased Irish peasant Tennants. A modern day holocaust in every sense of the word.
