There's no other issue that needs so much attention so urgently. It's literally about the survival of the planet and everything that fact entails.

We must take immediate action to prevent further damage to our environment from the use of fossil fuels. Our leaders are just talking (ie Trudeau et al) but we're still exporting coal (look at the coal trains going thru Kamloops daily as well as the oil cars - astronomical amounts) and oil and gas by train and by trucking! Look at the TMX still being built though the leaders are talking about going green. There are no changes being made as the subsidies for fossil fuels have not stopped, nor even slowed down, they're increasing while our leaders talk and even some (Kenney) only talk about jobs and the economy!! We're not doing anything to stop the pollution!!! There will be no future generations on this planet at this rate of inaction!!! Look at what we're passing on to future generations!! We're not even trying on a large scale to clean up the environment

I’m signing because we are in a climate crisis and it is a matter of urgency to do absolutely every thing necessary to limit or stop emissions. The only way this going to happen, is we the people demanding it as a collective international group. The powers that be can have their fluffy climate meeting and say all these things their going to do but we must hold them accountable. Our planet is dying

Karen Bird (Kamloops, 2021-11-04)

I am concerned about the impacts of climate change and the future that my children face which seems to be creeping closer. Fires, floods, pandemics, will all occur with increasing frequency due to climate change. If we want a planet we can live on we must urgently get to zero emissions and then seek to reverse the damage we've already done.

Jesse Ritcey (Kamloops, 2021-11-18)

Global warming is HERE, not just coming in the future. It is having impacts now, here and all over the world.

Heather Campbell (Kamloops BC, 2021-11-25)

#83

Climate change is the biggest challenge of our time and we need to have global to local action to keep GHG levels below the rise of temperatures of 1.5 degrees. Otherwise, our lives and the lives of future generations are in great peril. Kamloops is especially susceptible to climate impacts (wildfire, heat, floods).

Shannon Hardman (Kamloops, 2021-12-06)

Teressa Fedorak (Kamloops, 2021-12-15)

I used to live in Lytton, and am grieving its destruction by fire from the unprecedented heat dome that primed it for this tragic event; I am grieving the floods that have broken highways and supply chains in BC this fall.... I want our air quality in the summers to be breathable, not toxified by uncontrollable wildfires.

Heather Wisla (Kamloops, 2021-12-15)

#104

it's about time

Brendan Bowles (Kamloops, 2021-12-16)

#107

I'm signing because I am deeply concerned about climate change. The effects of climate change have been drastically and acutely felt where I live: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Last summer, there was a "heat dome" during which record temperatures approached those of the Sudan desert. Immediately afterward, there were a great many forest fires, which burned all summer long, destroying some homes and communities and threatening others. In November, three "atmospheric rivers" in succession brought record rainfall and unprecedented floods to southern BC. The climate disaster has already started. We must do everything possible to stop it from getting worse.

Bruce Baugh (Kamloops, 2021-12-16)

#108
