I grew up in town and we never had a good place to ride and be ourselves ! We always had to make sketchy jumps in forest and anywhere else we could find

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#3

This has been need for some time! Lets give the community of Ingersoll more positive!

(Woodstock, 2019-09-13)

I grew up in Ingersoll, and spent many days at the local skatepark. I have many great memories there, and would love for the next generation to be able to make the same for themselves.

(Woodstock, 2019-09-13)

Ingersoll used to have an amazing skateboard/bmx facility but what they have now is a joke.

(Beachville, 2019-09-13)

#10

I'm signing cause we need a skate park that is suitable for everyone and not just a select few. Something that everyone can enjoy and not have to worry about sitting around cause the skate park is too small.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

Biking was my life through the worst transitional years of my life, and it helped me through so many dark times and just having my custom one of a kind bmx or my baby (Sandra) I named her was stolen from my broken into shed in Ingersoll, I just want the new youth of Ingersoll to have a real park to have that release and safety I had back in the darkest days of my life, to save them as having a real park for bikes as I did growing up

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#14

The current skate park does not work for any kind of use, and is dangerous to use because of size and the slippery ness of the ramp material used.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#15

My boys rode the bike park daily growing up in Ingersoll. They met lifelong friends there...and it kept them away from drugs and alcohol. If youth are kept busy in a sport they love...they keep out of trouble. Good luck

(Kitchener, 2019-09-13)

#16

Im signing because the current park and the people who run it have no idea what they are doing and have no intrest in running the park. They only care about the govenment grants they get for the park wich gets spent in the youth center and not on the park where the money was intended to go.

(Woodstock, 2019-09-13)

#18

I think the one at fusion is not big enough .I seen one at spring bank park woodstock no fence it looked better for kids needs.

(Ingersoll on., 2019-09-13)

#24

It will give them something fun to do instead of getting into trouble.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#27

So kids can stop hanging out on major streets and can hang out in safe environments away from moving vehicles.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#31

I'm signing because I spent most of my teen days watching the boys in the skate park. I have lots of great memories there and it's about time they give the kids something new to be proud of in this town

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#32

We lost our pride and joy

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#35

I am signing this petition as I come from a bmx background. Skate parks have not only been a joy to ride and learn as i progressed in my skills but also allowed me and others to help fellow thrill seekers with theirs. It kept me out of trouble along with many others. I've learned better awareness skills as well with park edicate.. the park at the fusion centre has really taken a fall since I used to ride it.. Cutting back and making it smaller doesn't attract ... kids need a permanent well structured skatepark. The better the park the better the turn out. The more you're helping kids evolve , learn, respect, and create new friendships. Ingersoll needs a new well constructed park

(Aylmer, 2019-09-13)

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#41

I truly believe that that people of Ingersoll deserve a great skatepark.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

(ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#51

In signing because I used to ride the park in ingersoll and ever sense they got rid of it riding has died and I want a new place to ride

(London, 2019-09-13)

#52

Physical activity is important especially with so few options in such a tiny town, it's keeps not only kids but young adults from doing other crap sometimes and lets them destress and vent in a positive way. From someone born and raised in town with family that's still there, it was an important getaway for my brother.

(Sackville, NB, 2019-09-13)

#53

I believe that we all need a place to ride without having to leave town for the day to do so. I am 54 and enjoy getting on my bike and riding, but I don't like the fact that I can only enjoy it once in awhile as I have to tear my bike down and go to another town and then put I back together just to ride for awhile. I would ride regularly if we actually had a decent place to ride again that was open to all ages every day.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#54

Ingersoll needs a safe outdoor place for kids ALL kids to get some good quality exercise and some fun!

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#56

I have been waiting for a new Skate park

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#57

Gives the town something for youth to do

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#59

Im signing because I'm a skateboarder, I dont ride a scooter or bike. The new park is absolutely to small for the amount of people that go. Especially me as a skateboarder, I cannot improve at this park because of the sheer amount of scooter kids taking over the park. It sucks that I must travel to london, and woodstock to even enjoy myself.

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#63

Our town needs a skatepark for everyone! There’ll be less kids hanging out on the street corner.

(Ingersoll, On, 2019-09-13)

#64

The more skatepark there Are, more places kids can stay out of trouble and get much needed excercise

(Thamesford, 2019-09-13)

#66

I am signing because kids need as many options to be active or outside as I had 40 plus years ago

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#68

Ingersoll needs this

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-13)

#71

Kids need to be outdoors and not inside glued to technology! This park would be well used I'm sure.

(Woodstock, 2019-09-14)

#75

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-15)

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-15)

Hometown

(London, 2019-09-17)

(Salford, 2019-09-19)

#87

My kids would love a new skate park

(Ingersoll, 2019-09-19)

#90

I live in ingersoll and would really enjoy a skatepark.

(Ingersoll, 2019-11-09)

#91

My son would really enjoy a new skate park to ride his bike and his scooter.

(Ingersoll, 2019-11-13)

#92

Adults ride too, we are the peers to the youth. Also, the young kids ride scooters and bikes at fusion and the skaters have nothing to skate. I used to hang out at the original skate park everyday after school where the old outdoor pool used to be. The original skate crew that moved to London. Every other town got a decent park, we should too. There’s not enough for youth in this town, let’s keep my children off the streets!

(Ingersoll, 2019-11-13)

#95

Its needed

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#101

Kids need a place to play. Of all ages.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#102

My daughter is an athlete and has nothing to do during this pandemic. She usually is in soccer year around. When she is interested in something she puts her whole heart into it. We need a skatepark.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#103

I'm signing because I have a little boy who's 2 that might one day want to learn how to use a skateboard or bmx bike, it'd be a great thing to have for kids to stay out of trouble and have something to do in this small town!)

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#106

Used to love the skatepark when I was a kid!!

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#109

It is important especially in a small town, to have a place to hang out with your friends. It keeps them off the streets and busy ie soda shops, scouts which are now a thing of the past.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#110

The youth in our town deserve a skate park. We need to encourage healthy physical opportunities for ALL ages

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#120

I have a teenage son who loves to skate. The current skate park is not a good design

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#121

More legitimate recreational options for kids help prevent them from doing things they shouldn’t be doing! Something that becomes more important in a small town.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-24)

#123

I like skate

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-25)

#124

I’m signing because ingersoll needs to do more for their kids.
Council should be embarrassed comparing our skatepark to smaller villages.
Time to start representing EVERYBODY in this town.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-25)

#125

I’m signing because our kids need safe place they can skate in. We go to others towns to do this. We should be able to stay in our own community.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-25)

#127

Our youth deserve spaces where they can safely spend their time. Promoting physical activity from a young age is extremely important. Giving kids a safe space can keep them out of trouble and give them an avenue to form friendships with other kids of similar interests. Ingersoll needs to be a town that has something for all ages.

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-25)

#130

This town has nothing for kids, and when they find something to do they get in trouble

(Ingersoll, 2020-12-26)

#133

this place went from top tier skatepark to an embarassment to the community..

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-12)

#134

Keeping kids and you adults active is important. Past experience shows older kids showing younger ones how to ride. It is more than riding

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-12)

#137

This skatepark used to be a landmark in Ingersoll. People would come from out of town just to ride our skatepark. It also brought in more revenue for our local businesses as well. We need to make a change to bring back this important landmark.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-12)

#139

I used to do it when I was a kid and it was great now it’s an embarrassment

(Beachville, 2022-06-13)

#142

The park now is very small could use a lot more to it.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#146

Ingersoll needs this ! Let our youths have something to be proud of!

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#149

I'm signing because I remember the old skate park where the pool used to be, and the park once had by Fusion. Both places were well used and now missed.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#150

We desperately need one!

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#156

My almost 10 year old wants a skate park to enjoy with his friends. I'm also signing because as a resident of Ingersoll I shouldn't have to take my son to Woodstock for a skate park.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#157

I'm sick of driving out of town for my kids to do the things I loved to do growing up

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#166

My child enjoys the outdoor play areas.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#170

The youth of this town need to be valued and heard! They need a better skate park.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-13)

#173

Kids need a place to go in town

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-14)

#175

I grew up in Ingersoll and reside in Guelph since 1988 and we have an amazing skate park which is so crazy busy and keeps the kids focused and so much enjoyment I think it’s an amazing thing for the youth to do!!

(Guelph, 2022-06-14)

#176

The park they just Had built, was a waste of our tax dollars. Metal Ramps MAY last longer, but are NOT nice to ride on. ANY rider Knows this. Bike Board Or blades. But city officials don't know or listen. I was involved in the first ever park in Waterloo years ago. And the city Listened to the community, and the park was a HUGE Success, and was used and Loved for Years! Some pieces of the original park are Still in use at other locations (20+ Years later).
And they are all WOOD!! And a absolute Dream to ride.
I 100% support the building of a new skate park. But do it Right this time.
Kitchener skatepark. Riverside park in Cambridge, both have Great parks.
Both of them are Concrete, and un-movable, but Fantastic. Wood or concrete. Not Metal!! (Save the coping, of course.)

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-15)

#177

The kids need more to do.

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-15)

#178

The skate park needs to be designed and built by the professionals and those that use it. We have such a large skate, bmx, scooter community that is open and welcoming to all and it is only fair to have a safe and reliable facility for them

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-16)

#179

i think we do need a new skate park

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-16)

#182

I have been taking my boys to Woodstock or thamesford skate park as have a lot of People because Ingersoll just isn’t up to par ! We need a decent cement park that is safe, the steel ramps in ingersoll are slippery and awful!

(Ingersoll, 2022-06-25)
