Horses cannot be slaughtered humanely. The fact that they are also full of a toxic mixture of drugs is unsafe for consumption by anyone or anything. Stop this barbaric practice now!

what horrible horrible fate awaits these animals, how can anyone participate in this slaughter and sleep at nite. We all participate even though not by our own hands by choosing to ignore that this happens in our own backyard .

It does not matter what the government says about this--rules, regulations, implementing new measures, higher fines for abusers, blah,blah,blah. We have witnessed the truth over and over- there is no such thing as humane horse slaughter, and there never will be! This makes me sick and ashamed of our country. It must stop!

We need to get these petitions signed by as many people as possible and seen by those that can DO something about this atrocious behavior on the part of "humans" towards animals...LET's BE HUMANE...these and all animals absolutely deserve it!

The brutality and cruel inhumane practices against our equines has got to STOP!!!! I'm embarrassed to be a Canadian! It is wrong on all levels. We are poisoning people with horsemeat that is laced with banned substances. How many more horses and people have to die before the Government starts taking food & safety concerns serious......stop focusing on the bottom doller!!! This is utterly crazy!!!!!

Now, I must stress that all this buisness of Horse-Slaughter in Canada is becoming dicusting & out of control! Shame on "LPN" & the latest news of the violations & suffrence caused to the Horses in these death-plants. How can CFIA let these atrocities continue and shame on canada for selling Toxic horse-meat. Horses are cruelly shot in the head, many times, which violates the meat-inspection regulations! In my honest opinion, because of the intelligence of the horse, coupled with its highly tuned self preservation instincts, there is no possibly way to design or build a facility that would create an atmosphere where humane slaughter will ever be a reality. Horses are very emotive and complex creatures. At the same time, they highly individualized and herd oriented. There is no, and will never be a one size fits all solution, other than to end the slaughter of equids.
I fully support a BAN on H-Slaughter & never want to hear or see our PET Horses killed for meat, $$money or Greed! C-322 all the way...~R.I.P~ to the Horses

Everything for money ...hand in hand the dear Government and the other horse associations..you say you love horses ...OMG sorry I DONT THINK SO !

Let me tell you HORSES are not LIVESTOCK they are consider as PETS !!! So YOU dont send your pet to slaugtherhouses. I think Government have no heart what so ever if you keep sending and massacre horses the way you do! Would you send a friend to slaughter ????? Think twice !

Horses are companion animals. They should not be slaughtered! It's barbaric. Canadians have a reputation as compassionate and kind this should carry over into how we treat animals.
