Because I love animals that don"t bite or hurt a human being. I have a cat also. May God Bless you as you try and get Teddy back to his home. Sincerely,Judith Choate

I have 3 rescue dogs that are my family.I volunteer at our animal shelter and see dogs of all kinds all the time. Very few are aggressive and certainly those that are are not exclusively pit bulls.Every dog should be evaluated individually and not branded by it's breed especially in mixed breeds. Laws like this based on suspicion without any rational evidence or human compassion is not justice for any dog owner or his pet/ family member.

People need to judge based on each animals disposition not as any one "bad" breed. Dogs are wonderful and this poor dog is having his life taken for NO reason stop the insanity stop letting fear rule use some common sense people!

No innocent animal should EVER be destroyed or banned solely based on breed type.

What is it with the British and their paranoia about strong dogs? It makes no sense and causes horrible heartbreak. So in the name of protecting the child they will traumatize her for life. At least re home the dog.

It is a total disgrace that a loving family pet is being kept from his family. You are doing emotional harm to that little girl by keeping them separated.

This is a pathetic. As an advocate for the bully breed they are incredible dogs. Raised back in the day and used as dog nanny's for children. Tell them to look up that history of the breed.. Please give this dog back to his owners. He does.t deserve this. DO THE RIGHT THING, PLEASE.

I always heard the Brits were big on "fair play". This casts a lot of doubt on that.

There is no reason to put a dog down. This beautiful dog haven't done a damn thing. This family haven't done a damn thing. You're punishing the innocent. You have criminals out there. You do not put them to death. They live on. Seriously. If this is all about a breed and of mistaken identity. Just give it to the Humane Society, but there is definetly no reason to KILL it!!!! There is more important things to worry about like missing children, sex offenders, unsolve murders.

A dog shouldn't be put down due to fear of what the MIGHT do. Even pit bulls can go a lifetime without causing harm to anyone, so why should we put them down if they haven't done anything wrong? Its like saying I should be killed because I am a human and humans have the tendency to kill other humans. It doesn't make sense.

I find those 'enforcing' a ludicrous law to be complete jackasses and their logic exponentially flawed. if we were to apply this same logic to other situations then every human male should be neutered or jailed or executed on the suspicion that they could rape and rape violently, regardless of whether they've exhibited any historical behaviors indicating such; if they're near women then they'll surely rape, eventually, so they should all be punished proactively. WTH is wrong with the UK? first the debacle at Crufts and now this nonsense? clearly this judge, or magistrate, or whatever, hates dogs or hates happy people or just hates his life to the point that he's become a sadist, using his position to abuse animals. I see no reference that this dog could be placed in a home with no children or placed permanently with a rescue organization, which speaks volumes about the person 'upholding the law'. This is a disgusting ruling made by a disgusting person who is not interested in compromise, or what's best for an innocent animal, but a person only interested in killing for the sake of killing. You are small minded and vile and have no place in public service

I actually have a lab pit mix with two small children, he is a sweetheart with them. This dog does not even look like a pit. I can understand if the dog had issues, but it does not. Rooting for Teddy! My shoes if I could I would move!

This dog should never be euthanized--the court needs to be educated about this dog breed--the media has been unfair. Please give this dog a chance!

This is discrimination at its worst! There is no reason to have a dog put down just because of his breed!! I will be very disappointed with the court systems if this is allowed!! Why punish a poor dog for being what he is? It would be like punishing a human for having the wrong color skin, according to the law. Is that right?

I don't believe a dog that shows no aggression be put down based on what breed he might be. This family deserves to have their beloved dog back at home where he belongs. Basing a decision on a "what if" is stupid. What if we killed people because they "might" kill? Teddy should be returned to his home.

Why would you kill this dog on the possibility of a problem when he has never shown any aggression? At the very least a DNA test should be performed to verify if he is indeed a pitbull. Pitbulls were used as "nanny dogs" for years until evil people used them for evil purposes please give this living being a chance.

Talk about a load of BS! Some pics he looks like he has Boxer in him... Others lab, more lab. My lord...you can't get any plainer than to see that. Do a comparion to a lab. Not even close to Pit. Face and chest is way to small...even for half. Where they are getting their "experts" they need to find a day job. All about power playing and attention. Moreless...power tripping. There is validation this pup is no threat... And never has been..... There is to much far worse going on in that country than to single out a breed damaged by sub level humans who owned and trained them.....I have trained since I was 17 and I have trained numerous breeds...and not one time will I ever say it is the breeds fault. It is their dying wish to obey and listen to their trainer and or owner because of that ageless bond...that eternal hold that Man has on the Dog.....yet it is the dog who pays even with their lives because of the ignorance and cowardice of Man. And it has to stop. If this pup is killed....then why not go kill every elderly person that is come in contact with because they are old and can't work anymore? Blame it on another voiceless and defenseless....and not admit who is really to blame. Because,It is easier to blame an animal or child or even a elderly person because it is obvious they are voiceless...and in turn defenseless. They cannot speak out in their defense and so those who do what they do take advantage of this. I have had Pits, Rotts, Dobie’s.....and other breeds and have been training since I was 17 as a hobby while in the Corps. I always stressed SUPERVISION, RESPECT, COMPASSION and COMMON SENSE. In doing this it makes a safe and peaceful living and play space for all involved. You do not leave a child alone...unsupervised. Same with a pet. You do not keep an animal confined (chained or kenneled) 24/7 and expect them to be calm and happy..... There will always be bad days as there are good. Check yourself if you do kennel your pet, making sure they are in their homes and safe. If you have them outside, respect others personal space and keep your pets close and disciplined. Because the day is coming that the owner/trainer/breeder is going to be held fully responsible. Like a child an animal listens and learns from those who teach them. Some are badly trained and taught (dogs-dog fights, children-be abusive to animals and elderly and other children **examples). They do it for love and wanting to make their trainers/owners/parents happy and proud of them. They have no clue as to what is good or bad.....this is a bad and sad situation. And as usual the Pit is involved. I am here to tell you that in the past there have been Lab and Dalmatian attacks as well, with both of the breeds also on the CDC list. Blame the deed and not the breed. Quit crucifying the Pit Bull. It has a history. All breeds do. And so do us humans. Called criminals, psycho paths, molesters and so on. Pits have also a good side but it is amazing and pathetic that that part is ignored. Especially by the media and those who refuse to see that side of the fence. Helen Keller had Pits, the WWI canine hero was a Pit....Pits are used in law enforcement and military. Respect is as respect does. A happy home makes for happy members of the family. That includes both 2 and 4 legged. This is JMO and posting on experience and involvement. He doesn't deserve to die. This would be unjustified and murder. I am sure there are far worse who do deserve to die, and should. Peace.

I am sick to death of the breed discrimination laws that are a terrible injustice to the dogs. I own several "pit bulls" and can testify to their nature as loving family members-even to small children. These judges don't know what they are dealing with unless they have owned a pit bull. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY THE COVER!

On Facebook you cannot put pit bulls all in one category as dangerous. We have humans that are good people and some that are murderers that should sum it up for you. Let this sweet dog live I don't believe he is a threat to anyone please.
