I'm signing because I want the Primrose Bowling Club repaired. My family have been going to the bowling club for many years. It is a piece of Primrose whete community if all ages, races and cultures come together and get to know kne another. I want to play bowls at Primrose Bowling Club.

It is absolutely shocking that Ekurhuleni Municipality has allowed these premises to deteriorate to this level. This is a meeting place for the community where different groups used to meet, for example the knitting club. Bowlers have had to find new clubs to play bowls. CPF have had to find new venues to hold their meetings.

Preserving Local History. The bowling club has been a part of the community for nine decades, making a piece of local history. Restoring it helps preserve the memories of locals who have enjoyed the sport and the social connections. Restoring the club ensures that future generations will have the same opportunities for socializing, and recreation.

Bowling clubs are more than just sporting venues, they are social hubs. Restoring the club will continue to provide a space where people of all ages and backgrounds can gather, interact, and form bonds, helping the community.

This is the only decent pub left in Primrose. When the one side burnt down, my husband and son fixed the other side up by installing new wooden bar counters, fixed the plumbing, put security bars on the windows.... all at our own cost. We have invested in this pub and the owner also needs to support his family from the income from the community. We have all missed playing bowls and would really like it if we could start that up again.

The council is not maintaining their dutiful obligations of which one is parks and recreation. These areas are grossly neglected without compensation to the rates that we as a community are paying for such services.

As a fellow lawn bowls player, we need these sporting facilities to not only play our sport, but to also offer the youth in aera as a solution to drugs and other destructive behavior lead by boredom. In SA, we have national and provincial teams for juniors up to 15/18/25&30 yrs old.
