Advocating for the Animals at Strawberry Corner

My concern is firstly for the welfare of these sick and uncared for animals being on a public road, on an unlit bend. It is highly probable that a driver will hit one of these stray animals, resulting in injury to one or both.Secondly, as a motorcyclist, I am concerned about a rider colliding with one of the cows which are frequently out on this bend. Undoubtable this will result in very serious injuries to the ride, and quite probably death. I'm sure action will be taken then, but this will bring no comfort to the people involved or their families.

I’m signing because someone has to finally give these animals a voice..a life worth living. Additionally, how much time, how many resources, how much money will continue to be poured into ‘attending’ to incidents of neglect, harm, abuse where all that’s needed here is someone to stand up and listen, stand up and make a change for the safety of both the animals and those in the community who drive this area daily with apprehension.Candice McCarthy (Cockatoo, 2023-08-06)

I'm disgusted by the neglect and cruelty of animals along with the danger the owners are causing by allowing the animals to wander on an already dangerous section of road. I’m a local farmer and have personally, on several occasions witnessed animal neglect and miss treatment. I’ve seen cows out on the road, looking for fodder, seen dead and dying cattle and I’ve seen malnourished dogs attacking a cow/ calf pair. I really hope that something is being done soon. The animals can’t stay with the owners one more day and the owners can not be permitted to ever have animals in their care again. There is a department for a reason. Please do what is right and get those animals out of there.Niklas Passmann (Gembrook, 2023-08-07)

I've had enough of the animal cruelty that goes on at this address.I'm also sick of having to constantly be on the lookout for a cow that's gotten out due to their poor fencing.
The owners do not care at all for their animals.
It's an accident waiting to happen on this bend and I don't want anyone, including my family to end up hurt or worse, dead.

I'm signing because of the constant issues of animal neglect, inadequate fencing, cows often out of their paddocks on a dangerous stretch of road, and the undeniable threat to the animal's lives as well as motorists. They should also be banned from ever being allowed to own cattle as they simply do not care!Campbell Leaha (Cockatoo, 2023-08-10)
