We must preserve our beautiful natureLinda Ivancic (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-16)

We are seeing too many green spaces being destroyed as well as heritage buildings. Our children’s children will not know what an open field or a green space looks like as they are packed into small and unaffordable living complexes.Darleen Bernard (Maple Rudge, 2020-11-16)

Because i live here, and moved here because of the wildlife. Yennadon and Silver Valley do not have the road infrastructure to support such a project, nor do we want it. Build schools!!Tamara Waugh (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

This is my neighbourhood and over the years I've been so dismayed watching the green space become less and less. My children absolutely love when we see the wildlife around and living amongst all the wildlife presents so many teachable moments for them. Please protect this area!Hayley Dion (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

I’ve lived in this area for 40+yrs and know the diversity and vastness of wildlife and fish in this area ... development of this area as it’s being presented is too large an area and too close to salmon bearing creeks ..Robin Dei (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

I’m signing because I live in this beautiful area and am of sick of the constant building & stress put on our meagre infrastructure. Enough! Tired of all the housing construction going on in this town without sensitive urban planning to the people who live here and the natural habitat we enjoy. Realtors have too much say in what happens in this townSusan Brearley (Maple Ridge, B C, 2020-11-19)

Because, so many animals are being pushed out to suit our comfort. When will we learn when we upset an balance bad things happen. I also personally love seeing all the wild life, and teaching my children about respecting not only other people but other species. We MUST protect our wildlife and preserve as much forest and green space as possible. Our wildlife and wilderness are what makes Maple Ridge beautiful. We are being way over developed! Way too much destruction of beauty and nature to build more condos and townhouses. We need to change the focus before its too late!LC Tarris (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-21)

Our property backs onto this incredible green space, we have lived here for 20 years. We have seen Bobcats, bears, coyotes, herons, eagles, hawks, many different species of birds. This green space is home to so many species of wildlife. I hope the city will reconsider the current plan for this property.Jamie DeAdder (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-21)

I’m sickened by what you are planning to do. Maybe you should think about all the animals that live here!! Where are they suppose to go! Not just about making the all mighty dollar!! Government is so greedy and don’t give a rats ass about anything! Please just leave this little piece of wonder!!!!Katherine Cobb (Maple Ridge, BC, 2020-11-21)

I'm signing because this naturally sustained eco-system needs my voice. We have a specially concerned species of bird; The Blue Heron that is a daily traveler and hunter is this area. Seen with a mate most Springs and therefore is probably nesting nearby.

The Wild life cannot speak to city council and they need their home to be protected, not turned into urban sprawl and industrial parks. Quiet wilderness space is important and we cannot pave everything for "progress".Darrell Shibley (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-23)

We moved to this area specifically because of the nature, wildlife, and tranquility, not because we wanted to live next to an industrial park and hear continuous traffic in our neighborhood. The wildlife needs this space more than we need another industrial park.Jodie Shibley (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

Because I walk everyday in the beautiful green spaces throughout M.R. , I see the animals that call this home. Like us they deserve to be safe and secure. We cannot depend on the UBC forest and Golden Ears to house all of the diverse and beautiful animals we have in our lovely community. I moved here because of the beautiful green spaces and so did many others. We need to preserve those spaces.Lelia Nutt (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)
