That park is a great respite for those of us who live in this area, congested as it is with buildings. It offers a space to breathe and walk and run, and will be terrible to lose it. I hope that it will be protected.

If we cannot enlarge the green then at least maintain the existing.
On the same time we should provide proper outdoor safe activities for our children but when children swings already available that area needs to be beautified instead of spoiling the other greenery.

I’m signing this because it is important to preserve the limited green spaces in the capital, especially from mindless ‘developmental exercises’ which are eroding the green cover. Moreover, such activities by the public authorities should be carried out in consultation with the local residents and not in a top-down manner currently in practice.

It takes years for a healthy top soil to be formed, to grow life on it, and give us life in return. We can't let our greed take over that.

We need more green areas.

Green and grassy areas are rapidly decreasing, and co Crete-covered areas increasing. This is ecologically disastrous.

Amitabha Basu (South Delhi, 2020-10-31)

#172

This is ruining the park completely. Why do we need a concrete ground? It is risky for children to play there. Children enjoy running and playing on the grass. Residents of all age groups use the space for other physical activities. Moreover, the grass patch helps to maintain a healthy ground water balance for the park.

Debjani Mazumder (New Delhi, 2020-10-31)

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful.
