This is heartless. Santa Clarita families pay alot of money to come spend love and time with their loved ones. You think because you are the only game in Santa Clarita that you are able to remove momentums that families lay for their loved ones. Shame on you. This needs to STOP.

Natalie Gibbs (Castaic, 2025-03-08)

My Mother is buried there.

I have 3 family members at Eternal Valley. Have been decorating grave sites sense 1980. Have had many issues with poor maintenance over the years. This is absolutely silly new rules. Solar lites???? What are they hurting? Have a little compassion, let us decorate how we want.

This is so wrong in every way
How dare someone tell a grieving person they can’t celebrate the life of their loved one’s gravesite SHAMEFUL behavior

I’m signing this petition because I have two family members buried here at eternal valley and we feel connected with our family being able to decorate and being able to show our love to those who passed away.

My grandparents gravesite is here

I don’t like your ethics. You did my mom a very big disservice and now you’re taking away things that make people feel like they are honoring their loved ones. You are not good people.

Linda Casebolt (Santa Clarita, 2025-03-10)

Cuz my family loves for us to be together and celebrate each moment even though there no long here there in our hearts

Teresa Trujillo (Newhall, 2025-03-11)

I’m signing this because I will have a voice for my baby girl who is resting here. Decorating her resting place lets us have a smile on our face when visiting and having a space her siblings can admire her and spend loving time with her. This place is where we come to connect with her and make the only new memories we can.

Nicole Garibay (Newhall, 2025-03-11)

The unkept grounds at Eternal Valley cemetery are disgraceful and disrespectful to the loved ones interred there and the families that come to visit.

Gina Rogers (Valencia, 2025-03-11)

One of my family members was buried here LAST year and the field was well maintained then. The ceremony was beautiful. The last few times I’ve gone to visit the grass was completely dead and ugly. The burial spot was chosen because it was high on the mountain top with a beautiful view of the city. It hasn’t been a nice view for a while now. Such a saddening sight.

Janet Olea (Newhall, 2025-03-11)

I’m signing because I decorate my dear husbands crypt in a very tasteful way and the last two months I have discovered my beautiful, expensive, arrangements have disappeared and just discovered that they have been thrown away!!!

Cheryl Gray (Santa Clarita, 2025-03-11)

#27

Im signing because we lay our mother to rest there. We choose this place because we have heard great things and we felt like it was only right. Yet we do not live close and having to constantly go just to pick up her things and put them all back or else they will be thrown away is heart breaking. I just think it should be taken more into consideration, like we even had to go lengths to ask for a grass patch because her section was just dirt.

Sarai Torres (Palmdale, 2025-03-11)

For months on end my dad‘s gravesite has been dry no water, dead grass, etc. and the only memories I can share with my kids of him is we decorating his gravesite with them which will now be taken away

Serena Serrano (Newhall, 2025-03-11)

#29

I am signing this because my father is buried here. Not only did my daughter not get to meet her grandfather but nor have any of my nieces and nephews. We show them that by bringing their pictures of achievements and Christmas decorations they handmade for him that he sees and loves their love. Please please please do not take away something so meaningful from our families...

Savanah Serrano (Santa Clarita, 2025-03-11)

#30

My uncle among other family members are there

Lorraine Cordero (Palmdale, 2025-03-11)

#32

I’m signing this because not only is my bestfriend buried here, but so is her grandmother and my own grandmother. This is beyond unfair as this is our only way of showing our love to our family members that have passed on. We pay for these burial sites, we should have the right to decorate as our family decides, to prove our love and unforgettable memories with them. This is immoral behavior to expect people to not want to show appreciation and respect to the family no longer here with us.

Destiny Anicas (Lancaster, 2025-03-11)

#33

how is it fair that families PAY THOUSANDS for these plots yet you still feel entitled to take the right to simply decorate their loved ones lot away from them? why would anyone continue to choose this site to bury their loved ones after this? good luck with business cause this is disgusting. can’t even water your grass yet are worried about a couple decorations. i feel sorry for anyone with loved ones buried here.

megan H (palmdale, 2025-03-11)

It’s important to feel connected with a loved one after death and during grief. bringing items to leave for them brings a little bit of happiness during a time of unimaginable sadness. please reconsider this decision as you think about the families going through a hard time.

Jayden Barillas (palmdale, 2025-03-11)

#38

There should be no regulations over how people visit/decorate their loved ones. Loosing a loved one is hard enough it shouldn’t be made worse

Natalie Rivas (PALMDALE, 2025-03-12)

#39

My sister and grandma are buried there . There SHOULD BE DIGNITY for a place that’s suppose to honor it . If we threw away your loved ones stuff you would feel the same. Let them rest , we want to honor not destroy

Andrea Barba (Palmdale, 2025-03-12)

#47

My brother is at Eternal Valley. We should be able to celebrate and honor him by putting up our decorations. It’s unfair and needs to be corrected!!!

Carmen Hernandez (Pomona, 2025-03-12)

I’m signing because my brother is resting here in Newhall Enternal Valley and I feel like without the solar lights around his grave he’s in the dark and alone. I feel like he wouldn’t be able to rest alone in the dark would love him to have some sort of light with him

Nayeli Vega (Newhall, 2025-03-12)

I’m signing because decorating my mom’s site is something I take pride in and look forward too. No ones belongings should be found in the dumpster. Eternally valley a should focus on bigger issues they have to resolve in the park.

I believe everyone should place and decorate the grave stone specially if you pay for the site , what’s the point of paying if your not allowed to decorate for your love ones

Perla Mares (Canyon country, 2025-03-13)

#91

It is inhumane to not allow loved ones to decorate gravesites

Mary Jellison (Newhall, 2025-03-13)

#93

I’m signing this because all that money families pay to have a spot for their love one to rest including the extra funds it cover for a head stone the families should have the right to add any additional decor on gave site our money pays for the maintenance and staff the least the can do his have more compassion for caring for the cemetery instead of wanting the easy way out and keep everything simple and easy to clean

CHRISTINA RIVERA (Lancaster, 2025-03-14)

#95

My mother and brother are there. Not counting my aunts and uncles.

Jeff Calderon (Garden Grove, 2025-03-15)

I feel that this is discrimination against the Mexican culture of decorating loved ones’ graves, especially for Dia de los Muertos.

Jessica Fish (Acton, 2025-03-16)

I currently have loved ones laid to rest at EV and i have purchased some for myself for the future. If i am paying thousands of dollars, i expect to be able to decorate if i want to. Not to mention how disgusting EV has looked the past few years because of their construction and no water and had to deal with it.

Jocelyn Rose (Santa Clarita, 2025-03-16)

I'm signing because I have lived in Newhall since 1967 and almost all of my family and friends and their family and friends are buried here. This is the place we come to to grieve and celebrate their lives. We should have the right to decorate those gravesites how we see fit. It is our customs and right. We paid for the space their remains lay. Please let us love them how we see is right.

Jennifer Avanessian (Canyon Country, 2025-03-17)

#105

I’m signing this because people deserve to grieve. Why are we making a cemetery minimalistic ?!

Sara Jones (Santa Clarita, 2025-03-21)

#107

I am signing this petition because of the disrespect and lack of care shown toward grieving families and their loved one(s) at EV. My brother passed away in January 2024 and is buried in the Artsakh garden. I've seen tractor tracks over headstones and plots, plot decorations broken and / or thrown on to another person's plot, and artifical flowers thrown away. In fact, decorations that my family bought for my brother have been thrown away and broken several times. These acts are completely unnecessary!

Decorations should not be moved or thrown away, and plots / headstones should not be run over by a tractor! That is beyond disrespectful and lacks compassion for the families and loved one(s) buried at EV. Families pay a lot of money to have their loved one(s) placed at EV. EV should do a better job of upholding its promise to be professional and compassionate toward grieving families and their loved one(s).

Michelle Harris (Lancaster, 2025-03-22)

My brother is buried at eternal valley and we as his family should be able to decorate his gravesite

Julia Orozco (Lancaster, 2025-03-22)

#110

I’m signing this petition because grieving families deserve the right to honor their loved ones with minimal, respectful decorations. Eternal Valley Memorial Park’s restrictive policies deny families a vital part of the healing process. Additionally, the current manager has shown a lack of professionalism, empathy, and compassion, and should be terminated. Memories should never be erased, and grief should never be silenced. It’s time for change! As a social impact leader|| Former social services director, I stand by this 100%

Kay Del real (Lancaster, 2025-03-22)

I'm signing this petition because we should be able to honor our loved ones the way we want to and the way we know it would make them happy. We have always been able to decorate, leave artificial flowers, real flowers, as long as it doesn't look trashy. If you are going to decorate then you should go back yourself and retrieve your decorations if you don't want them thrown out. All these changes and ignoring the grounds has just been ridiculous When we first purchased the plot in 2003, everything was great and it seems within the last 2 to 3 years, it's gone down the dumps. Hire management that actually cares and doesn't want to make a quick buck. Eternal Valley dug up the little street right next to where my grandmother is buried so you now have to park, walk up a hill just to get to where we're going and that's not what we paid for and we weren't asked ahead of time if we were OK with this (as they claimed with their so-called imaginary signs) or not. They claimed there were signs and barriers blocking the street and that was not true because I showed management a picture of my car when I met with them in October of 2022. My car was parked right there in front of my grandmother's plot during the time they said it was blocked off so they lied. After I decorate, I always send pictures to the family who don't live close by. Management said they would get back to me when they checked out the information I requested about when it was blocked off, signs etc. I mean seriously management would have to know all about this so when you ask them a question like that, they should know the answer because obviously what they were telling me was not true at all it's been over two years now haven't heard anything and then when you call you just get ignored nobody ever calls you. They were wrong and they know it. They just wanted to dig up the road, put more grass to make more burials because they're greedy and just want to make a buck. Sucks for the relatives now that want to visit and they can't easily walk up a hill with a walker or a cane or even a wheelchair that's why we purchased right on the street we thought of our relatives and that was taken away from us thank to Eternal Valley.

I’m signing this because we just buried my cousin in 2024 and my Grandpa in 2025 here. The grass already looks horrible as it is and now this.

My grand parents are buried near the flags and manager is disrespectful and has no heart or compassion for the dead

Jessica Sheehan (Lancaster, 2025-03-26)

We pay for our loved ones to be buried there we should be able to put whatever we'd like on their grave.

I sign this because Justice is for everyone and my anger is directed towards education officials and police for their apparent slow response. Democracy is a goal to be attained!!!

Because I’m fully disgusted with that cemetery, we bought Crips very expensive 30 years ago.My mother and my father my aunt and my uncle, they promised they would never build. It was on the very end and 25 years later they added on a whole Nother addition which box my mother in The gravesites that we picked because it was beautiful, was no longer beautiful that’s number one. We also have all of our other family members in the walls. We move them from a cemetery in the valley out here. Today is my mother‘s birthday we put flowers on her wall on Monday when I got there today they were all gone. Spoke to the manager and he told me he was real sorry but that’s the policy. supposedly there was a meeting. They told my sister on Monday when she put the flowers there about the problem with them disposing of all of our stuff that we leave for our loved ones. I understand if it looks trashy, but these were brand new why bother having containers if we can’t keep flowers. They also threw away all my dad’s love letters that he put there he’s 92 years old I don’t have the heart to tell him I’m angry. My family is angry. That’s my story.
