My rights in a democratic society are being eroded day after day and I totally object to having to wear a face nappy as there is no proof that it helps within a shop environment, our immune systems are being systematically destroyed.

David Gregg (Banbridge, 2020-08-04)

#604

Ido no believe face masks work

Robert Kempton (Ballyclare, 2020-08-04)

#605

It’s a load of bollocks and violating my human rights

David Ferrin (Belfast, 2020-08-04)

#608

I'm signing because we as a nation should have a right to not need to wear a mask, I have a child with additional needs who from being in hospital most of his young life is frightened of masks so if everyone ends up forced into wearing them he won't be able to leave the house, I also feel its a choice and the fact the government have lied over the years I don't belive that they know what they are doing now. This farce needs to stop now.

Daniel Potter (Comber, 2020-08-04)

#617

I don't want to be forced to do anything against my will, or vilified for standing by my human rights.

Anna Fahy (Ballymena, 2020-08-04)

#624

I'm strongly opposed to tyranny!!

Colin Magill (Newtownabbey, 2020-08-05)

#627

There's no evidence that a, mask does any good I work fabd to have to work with 1 of them on is impossible

I am signing this petition for the people in the north of Ireland to ask their government to spare them the unscientific, unnecessary, demeaning and divisive and draconian measure of mandatory face masks as we have on the mainland.

This does not encourage trade, in fact, sales have slightly decreased here in England. What has increased is many people's anxiety about even going into a shop if they object to a muzzle due to hostility from mask wearers. This is affecting many people's mental health profoundly, including retail staff who are expected to be the gatekeepers of this pointless legislation.

There is no science to back this move so please spare the people of the north of Ireland this divisive and demeaning act.

Sheila Burchell (London, 2020-08-05)

I am signing this petition because the shops will lose trade if this happens only time I wear a mask is going to Coleraine on the train and up again I agree the people have a choice to wear a mask in the shop or not

Alan Johnston (Ballymoney, 2020-08-05)

#643

I’m opppsed to mandatory face mask wearing. I feel it is an attack on my freedom, with minimal evidence to support its cause. Mandatory masks will lead to mandatory vaccines.

Daniel Connor (Coleraine, 2020-08-05)

#647

I strongly believe face masks should be a personal choice and they cause unnecessary distress to those not wanting to wear one

Dolores Gowdy (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#648

Face masks should be a personal choice.

Angela Armstrong (Armagh, 2020-08-05)

#649

There is no evidence to support wearing masks will prevent the spread of this cold virus

Tom Foye (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#651

Unnecessary at this stage. If you can't social distance yes but as figures are do low serves little purpose.New cases not shown in increased hospital admissions.

Ian Kidd (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#663

I’m entitled to my human rights!

Hailey Mc Cready (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#670

It should be choice not forced aponed us.

Stuart Jackson (Bangor, 2020-08-05)

#672

The scientific proof of face masks does not back up what guidlines suggest. I've looked at studies all done since 2010 and every year since which all show that masks will not protect from any virus. All the masks do is reduce oxygen levels. I feel human rights are being abused by forcing people to wear masks. I have also heard that people with respiratory infections will be exempt from wearing masks, the most vulnerable people to Covid-19.

Ciaran McCrory (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#675

The various bodies including WHO had all agreed that mask wearing was likely to be of little benefit and now seems to be a political move which has no end date in sight. Rather than give people a false sense of security with a mask, we have seen that social distancing and hand sanitising has " flattened the curve" . Why not proceed with that works especially as we have been told that this virus is here to stay.

Margaret Reid (Holywood, 2020-08-05)

#677

I have copd & can’t wear a mask for long as it hinders my breathing

Sandra Blaney (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#678

700,000 worldwide deaths (global mortality rate of 0.00009%) / slightly more than the yearly (that's every year) flu deaths / global lockdown for a virus that hasn't been 100% isolated / over inflated figures of deaths / face masks on sale don't work with viral particles - it's even printed on the boxes / the masks are just a sign of people showing their enslavement.

Sean Wilson (LONDONDERRY, 2020-08-05)

#683

I'm partially deaf and lip read, I also suffer from severe asthma, it is smothering for me to wear a mask

Donna Mckittrick (Belfast, 2020-08-05)

#686

Mandatory mask wearing has absolutely no scientific consensus and may actually have detrimental effects on health.

David Corbett (Bangor, 2020-08-05)

#687

There is no evidence thay masks offer any substantial benefit in general settings. Consequently, mandating their use is unnecessary & dispoportionate.

Keith Lonsdale (BELFAST, 2020-08-05)

#689

Facemasks made sense in March when the pandemic was in full swing. Now it smacks of a control feature that flys against epidemilogy, we need to build herd immunity, you dont't get that by avoiding contact.

JOHN HUTCHINSON (NEWTOWNARDS, 2020-08-05)

#698

It is my God given right to breathe fresh air and you will not take it away for me! And besides I will not be taking the vaccine so best to go for immunity.

Ashlene Kelly (Newry, 2020-08-05)

#700

I was designed with an immune system and the more people hide from germs the sicker they will get in the future.

philip robinson (Carrickfergus, 2020-08-05)

#722

LEE STOCKDALE (NEWTOWNARDS, 2020-08-05)

I’m partially sighted and wearing a mask would adjust my varifocal glasses and I would not be able to see properly

Joanne Gouldie (Carrickfergus, 2020-08-06)

#731

God is over me not man/human. And I’ve not seen and proven evidence that this will stop it 100%

Shirley Mather (Dungannon, 2020-08-06)

#733

We need to start standing up to this dictatorship

Grant Somerville (Dungannon, 2020-08-06)

#734

my human rights are being impeded. I will not be wearing a mask for this reason, and as I start panicking when my airways are obstructed.

Alex Moore (Craigavon, 2020-08-06)

#738

When freedom is taken, it is never returned.
Wearing a mask is the 1st sign you are happy to help build the walls of your own prison & can be manipulated to giving up your freedom through fear not facts.

Darren Woods (Carrickfergus, 2020-08-06)

#739

I don't agree healthy people should be wearing them it should be a choice!

Kerry Dawson (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#743

Because I’m a human being I’m sick off having my basic rights stripped from me

Iain Fitzgerald (Bangor, 2020-08-06)

#746

I am signing because facemask do not stop COVID 19 They are of absolutely no use whatsoever

Sam Algie (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#747

It should be a choice i cant really wear them as panic

Mark Johnston (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#752

I dont believe in them

Maree Walker (Lisburn, 2020-08-06)

#761

You will not violate my human rights nor my children's. Enough is enough, let the people decide for themselves and be sheep to your scaremongering. Absolute power corrupts!! Fear of mind and body - males people sick. STOP

A McLaughlin (Dungannon, 2020-08-06)

#764

i cant wear a mask due to health reasons i also do not want to wear one this should be my choice there is not one piece of evidence they do any good and is violating my human rights .

Norma Agnew (Antrim, 2020-08-06)

#765

Im signing this because from what I read mask don't help

Jim Kelly (Armagh, 2020-08-06)

#768

Our freedom is being taken away every day. It’s time to stand up to corruption in government and take back or Rights, Freedoms and Civil Liberties!

Jordan Woods (Carrickfergus, 2020-08-06)

#769

It should not be law

William Ferry (Dungannon, 2020-08-06)

#772

I disagree with any face covering

Lorraine Geddis (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#777

My human rights, civil liberties and freedoms are being taken away by corrupt government. Enough is enough!

Margaret Woods (Carrickfergus, 2020-08-06)

#778

I’m a human being I strongly object to my basic human rights being controlled by a dictatorship nobody owns or controls the air that my body inhales and exhales simple

Iain Fitzgerald (Bangor, 2020-08-06)

#792

I dont believe these help. Why now? Four months down the line

Donna Cameron (Co. Antrim, 2020-08-06)

#793

The scientific evidence of 50+ years has been blatantly ignored and no scientific evidence shown to their benefit

Dana Taylor (Fermanagh, 2020-08-06)

#794

There is no scientific evidence that masks work. Countries who have had them mandatory for quite some time are seeing an increase in cases... so do masks work???

Heather Logan (Ballymena, 2020-08-06)

#798

This is a violation of our basic civil and human rights.

Joanne Mcdermott (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#799

I'm not in agreement that the public are being forced to wear mask and other measures. This virus is being blown out of all proportion and our rights are being trampled on for a virus that has over a 98% recovery rate. Mr swann if I recall correctly said there would be possible 22,000 deaths here and there are only 500+ dead. Listen to the doctors who have come out and said this is not what it is being claimed. This is treatable according to the doctors on capital Hill.

Michael Peden (Belfast, 2020-08-06)

#800

Because of the compelling evidence that face masks are ineffective in controlling the spread of Covid-19!
Also that our current levels are so low
