I cannot let my children be a stastitic of this killer disease. Our government failed to consult us as parents and follow informed decision on this issue. I would have felt at ease if we were in level 1. This uncalculated move will result in a dire circumstance and will definitely have a psychological effect on our children!

I don't feel safe sending my 9year old son out in the open. I don't think kids will be able to adjust to COVID-19 rules and regulations currently implemented. Our adults is a living proof of all of this, as they can't live by rules and regulations.
A healthy child learning from home is better then a dead / Sick child.

Stinet de Vos (Port Elizabeth, 2020-04-30)

#255

i won't put my kids in danger or at risk. They still very young fir this pandemic virus. No going to school for them.

SA is NOT ready to open schools and my kids safety comes first.

Gayle Hart (East London, 2020-04-30)

#266

My little boy is in Grade 1.
How does a little one of 6 years or 7 years understand not to give his best friend a hug or touch him.
Or how do they play at break time?
The kiddies are 30 or more in a class. How do you keep them a meter apart in class?
I also state that they can close schools later in December and open earlier in January. Then they can also make up for these lost terms and work.

Nicoleen Van Rooyen (Port Elizabeth, 2020-04-30)

#267

High risk of infecting kids noting that there's a steady increase in infections. There's no sign of flattening the curve hence kids should only attend school once the risk is absolute ZERO!

Rajesh Bharat (Stanger, 2020-04-30)

#268

If it is not safe for all parents to go to work it cant be safe for our children to go back to school.

Its risky to open the schools, why would any child know what to do, especially the lower grades, brake time and classrooms are to small for the number of children in one class, no please don't

Louise Rautenbach (Pretoria, 2020-04-30)

Ronel Ostreline (Port Elizabeth, 2020-04-30)

Jeffrey Noge (Kimberley, 2020-04-30)

As a single father of a 7year old son, and I feel it's unsafe too soon to send kids back to school. Especially in the Western Cape where we have one of the highest numbers of infections, and the death toll just rose by over 100 in the last week.

Nicholas Leonard (Cape Town, 2020-04-30)

#284

We cant afford to put our kids at risk when the country itself isnt ready to deal with the effects of the virus if it spreads beyond control. I am an aunt to 2 kids they cant be replaced.
