#442 Teacher Absenteeism2011-02-27 17:45#390: Guest - Six Flags Revenues and other points Regarding your comment about teacher absenteeism being much lower this year due to the balanced calendar: Do you think it might have something to do with the new attendance policy implemented by the board? I know for me it does. I have gone to school when I have been sick because of this policy, as have several of my peers, and not because of the balanced calendar. I would have loved to have gone to my dentist this past week, but when Cobb has these weeks off, he takes off, too, to be with his children. Teachers have earned sick days, just like they earn a salary, and should be able to use them when they NEED them. |
