Mr Ibrahim should clarify himself on what he meant by "right news". I am appalled that such a statement was made as justification for the enactment of this "law". As a Singaporean, I have been taught better through your own education system to uphold the values of democracy and with it comes the rights for free expression and speech. If the authorities responsible are unable to offer us educated and well informed citizens of Singapore a rational explanation for such a law then repeal it.

The curtailment of free speech and writing should not exist in a democratic country.
The Government of Singapore has to be politically mature in their outlook and being open towards dissent voices.

The government should trust that your citizens are able to behave maturely and totally capable of discerning between facts and fiction. We do not need the Licensing Regime to filter news and reports for us.
