I cycle from Rietvlei every weekend, either with my mountain bike or road bike and find it very dangerous to cross from Rietvlei onto the main road. The cars do not slow down. There are a lot of traffic going in and out, so a robot will definitely be a big safery advancement

Regardless of the rumble strips and speed reduction signs, cars do not slow down and one of these days there is going to be a very serious accident which will claim the innocent lives of parents and children coming out of Rietvlei from the schools and the Zoo Farm. It is a death trap. Why wait for something to happen before doing something to prevent it. Prevention is better than cure.

My daughter goes to Grace Trinity and the traffic is bad, someone is going to die due to the stupid chances drives, cyclists and pedestrians take, it gets hairy.

I go to Rietvlei occasionally and that is a very dangerous intersection. Robots will definitely improve safety...please dont wait for a fatality before something is done.
