This is horrible injustice. To put to death a dog that has done nothing wrong is a sin. This needs to stop. Shame on BSL!

Because I love animals and this is so unfair to the dog and his family.

Teddy is a living being that has been shown discrimination in the worst form because he cannot talk to defend his character. It is SO UNFORTUNATE that those that have used any four-legged child as a prop to be vicious against people or other species are the ones that should be put down. PLEASE return Teddy to his loved ones. It's the right thing to do.

dog life matters........the breed means nothing.....I just read where spaniel just bit a person in the face not killing him......people make the dogs mean not the dog........grow up and give Teddy back to his loving owners.

The utterly low-grade mentality displayed on the judge's part combined with a lack of common sense relegates this judge to the level of a first year bureaucrat. Plus lack of compassion.

All dogs are goods, people make them aggressive just for the way they treat them, however this is just a discrimination 'cause there are people that kill other people for lots of reason or no reason and not just because of that all human need to be in jail or be killed.

THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS!!!! ARE YOU GOING TO PUT A HUMAN DOWN ON A HUNCH... NO. WITHOUT PROOF YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PUT ANYTHING DOWN THAT IS MURDER. WE ARE ALL ANIMALS. GIVE THE DOG BACK TO HIS OWNER!

Reading this was absolutely heartbreaking. I lost my dog due to illness and would do anything to get him back. These people had no right or reason to take that poor dog, especially with no bad history! I am very hopeful that this pup makes his way home from his "mission" to continue his life with his true owners. Best of luck xoxo

I don't see any evidence that this dog should be put down.

I'm heartbroken that such a beautiful and sweet dog would be put down simply for the perceived notion he may or may not be a Pit Bull. Breed discrimination is wrong and killing just in case is wrong!

They should call in a professional vet who can determine the dog's breed. If the dog and child are attached to each other, this child will be devastated. A lot of people think children don't realize what's going on because they're so young, but they know more than we give them credit for. Don't do this to this dog and child. And if there is no bite history, then they have no right. And all breeds can bite and there is always a reason, a dog is just being a dog and should not be faulted for that.

This dog did absolutely nothing to deserve this. Teddy's family should not have to live without one of the members of the family, which is exactly what Teddy is.

Breed specific legislation is harmful and hurts both the animal and families. Please reconsider. Pit Bulls by themselves are not dangerous, any more than a Labrador is dangerous by itself; breeding methods, past trauma, training and the way it is raised, nutrition and exercise, is what affects a dog's temperament. Please show compassion to Teddy and remove this death-sentence, especially, since there IS NO BITE-HISTORY!.

The poor dogs are not the problem...the stupid discriminating laws are.
Stop judging and punishing dogs merely by their breed and start punishing the owners that abuse them.
Let Teddy go home!!

Send Teddy home!!! If there have been absolutely no issues with this dog and he has been with this family since it was 11 weeks old - I am perplexed as to why so much time and effort is being spent on a non-issue. It sounds like this might be a case of a personal fear of dogs on the part of the people who made this ruling. SEND TEDDY HOME!!

punish the deed , NOT THE BREED! if you put a dog down strictly on the bias of the breed its the same thing as killing a human being because of the color of their skin or their religion. its absolutely disgusting and disturbing that you people would even consider doing this to a animal that has done no wrong and devastating a family because of a crime that hasn't been committed but that you think "might happen"..do you also jail people and put them to death for crimes they have not committed but you suspect they might in the future?

Why not German Shepherds/Dobermans/Cane Corsos, hell, any dog. This banning breed specific dogs is unjust to the owners, who have raised and trained their dogs with kindness and respect for humans. If these these dogs do go astray, so to speak, take it out on the owner, to the fullest degree.

I have had dogs my whole life. It is not in the nature of the dog to become aggressive unless provoked. Destroying this dog breed will not solve the problem of humans provoking animals into fighting for sport. If the pit bull is destroyed, humans not dogs, will find another victim!

Breed bans are ridiculous. I own two pit bulls and they are the best dogs ever!!

Please do the right thing and return Teddy to his family. I have two dogs and they are my babies. I could not bear being without them, much less they are being locked up in a kennel.

Because when stupid officials start to muck up the works with dogs and animals that have done absolutely nothing wrong...just because they might but probably won't ...is totally stupid and this is why everyone is so upset with moron officials!
