i have known dogs of this type. they are wonderful with families and children. There is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners, and this family are not bad owners.

I appreciate the need to control dangerous dog breeds and protect children but this is so wrong , that dog wouldn't harm a fly . The damage to the dog has been done by high handed ignorant officials in removing it from the family unit.

This dog does not look like a pit bull to me and should not face death because of something he MAY do .Why cant the dog be allowed back to the family following the proviso given by the head of the police dog unit to keep him muzzled in public places? As to the safety of the young child i think the father seems to me to be a very sensible and caring person who would ensure the safety of his own child with regard to Teddy

I love all animals and am constantly appalled at the way they are treated. Teddy has done nothing wrong. Let him go home to his loving family. Hugs and kisses teddy.

Teddy does not deserve to die. Had his owners thought that he was a threat to their daughter they would have already taken appropriate action. The law is an ass but our government fail to see that. Anyone with much loved family pets that might look remotely like a banned type will no longer feel free to call the police when they become victims of crime, for fear of their pet being murdered by the authorities. Save Teddy, neuter him and send him home.

because the system is a joke, i knew someone who had an american pitbull and it was soft as shit, the best dog i have ever known, you can clearly see this dog is the little girls best friend and protector, the world has gone mad!

I have three dogs ,to have the police to my door to take one away would destroy me, dealing with idiots that use their dogs as a weapon or dogs that attack guide dogs in the street would be more productive than sending a beautiful well loved dog to his death because of his looks

I signed because i find it unbelievable that a family pet could be condemned to death even though the dog has done nothing wrong.A dog should not be destroyed on the premise that he MAY do something in the future.I own a dog and know how devastated i would be if this happened to me .I wish the owner the best of luck in his campaign

I am an animal lover in general and a dog lover in particular. It breaks my heart when reading such stories and makes me angry with the horrible people behind these cruel decisions. Please let Teddy return to his beloved family. Pray to God!
