I signed because Elvis' "dash of life" - 1935 "-" 1977 - included hundreds if not thousands of acts of humanitarianism -most of which were kept anonymous. HIS LIFE WAS ABOUT PEOPLE AND ABOUT HIS FANS. WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN PERSONAL DEMONS AND FAILURES...I have "studied" Elvis via the most reliable of resources; the "powers that be" should ALSO study him and get enlightened. I will always love "Elvis the man" and of course I love Elvis the entertainer... Sincerely and Humbly, Charlene Donovan

Back the orescrition drugs weren't not just legal but no information on this topic as there is today. Plus he had already served his years in the Army. Wasn't thought like all people did back then they weren't wrong to us.

What has happened really us a disgrace Removing "ELVIS" name was a very bad call/judgement ! I signed this petition because "ELVIS" didn't deserve this "ELVIS" was wonderful to everyone, always and he was so loving and kind "ELVIS" gave all of himself to us, his audience , the crowds who loved & honored him so! "ELVIS" LOVED HIS FAMILY ,HE WORLD WANTED PEACE TALKED ALWAYS ABOUT BEING KIND AND LOVING TO ANYONE Also spoke of not judging a man because you've never walked in his shoes ! The last two reasons I have all most important "ELVIS WAS A UNITED STATES SOLDIER AND ELVIS BELIEVED IN , SPOKE OF GOD , SANG OF GOD, LIVED FOR GOD AND LOVED GOD SO !   ANY QUESTIONS !

Elvis Presley loved this country. He was a veteran that was treated like everyone else. He could have spent his entire time served performing for the troops. It would have been very easy to do that. But he went in as a regular guy and was treated like everyone else.......He raised the biggest share of the funds that were needed to complete this project. His name should have never been removed. It makes me so ashamed of this country the way they now do things. This is a perfect example of a few idiots with power doing what they think will make a statement. Return that name and make the right statement!

Makes me angry that some. Judge Elvis for something they know nothing about Elvis was ill. And still gave 100%+ to his fans and Country. Guess there will always be people that judge others and condem without knowlage of the trueth. And pick up the first stone feeling themselves perfect I know in my heart that Elvis was. Very ill phycically and not an abuser of. Meds he needed to control his condition the symptoms were a result of his illness it breaks my heart at how brave he was and stood up on the stage and still gave all of himself to his fans. Im beyond proud of Elvis and love him dearly so grateful to him for the happiness he gave me. And continues to give me he sees me through. Maney of lifes challenges still just wish he knew xxxxx

The man helped raise money for it. He himself was a Army veteran. He served with honor. So he took to many pills, everyone takes to many pills, maybe no as many as him. He was an good American.

I'm signing this petition bcause Elvis was such a giving person; he was very fond of Hawaii; and he was very committed to the military. His raising funds to build the USS Arizona Memorial is what this whole commemoration is about.

Elvis Presley raised a very large sum money by doing a concert! Also donating his own money for USS Arizona!! Elvis was a great American! His drug addiction was his mistake and he kept it from fans and others. Back in the 60's & 70's a lot of singers and actors were proud of their drug use and let the world know! At least Elvis kept his addiction from the public!
