This petition, like the online "mokkey survey" taken by the CCSD, is not scientific, does not use sound methodologies, and is therefore completely invalid.

The people in Cobb (and elsewhere) trying to fan the flames of this issue are simply trying to give the School Board a black eye because they did not get what they want - like a bunch of spoinled brats.

The vast majority of parents and students favor the balanced calendar. More importantly, the students performed better with the intermittent breaks throughout the year. this is reason enough to keep the current balanced year calendar. I hope the board will reconsider their decision to revert to the original calendar.
