If BBC Radio Leicester have any ounce of common sense & decency then they really need to listen to the fans on this one or their football coverage listening figures will sink faster than England's World Cup campaign. DO THE RIGHT THING, RE-INSTATE ALAN YOUN9 IMMEDIATELY!!!

Let us also think, for a moment, of where Youn9y has come from. Those of you who have read his lifestory in his inspiring book will understand this. Having been let down and basically 'shat-on' by certain previous employers, Alan spent many years in a very dark place and was , not too manyyears ago on the brink of ending his own life. Such was his pain and despair. His work on radio Leicester has given Alan a new chance to shine and a worthwhile purpose. I hate to think of how Alan is feeling right now, pretty bloody awful , i should imagine.You only had to listen to his punditry and commentary to know exactly what his work meant to him, and he relayed those feelings of worth, pride, honour and total enjoyment out to all of us listeners on air with every comment he made. This wasnt just a job for Alan, it WAS a part of his life, and he was a welcome part of ours. ....radio Leicester, DO THE RIGHT THING, FOR YOUN9Y'S SAKE AND FOR OURS AND RE-ENSTATE BACK .

For all of you that remember, Leicester City had one of the best football managers in the 1970/80's, my personal favourites, his name was John "Jock" Wallace. I've taken the following extract from an obituary published in The Independent, 26th July 1996 just days after he sadly passed away "Wallace had a frightening growl but a soft centre. The abiding image of him is that of the clenched fist, signifying the character he built into his teams - character which emanated from the man himself." Alan Young was a member of Jocks team in the 80's and us people of Leicester supporters of the club need to demonstrate that same grit and determination and continue to bombard the radio station with phone calls, emails and tweets to disrupt their services and make sure that Alan is re-instated at the demand of you, I and every other man, woman and child of Leicester want. BBC Radio Leicester's funding is reliant on the people of our fair city listening to the programmes they broadcast, so lets hit them where it hurts, if not resolved by the time of the big kick off, vote Alan Young by switching off your radios and continue to do so until they listen to us - BBC Radio Leicester is a local radio station for local people so they need to start listening to our demand, I am actually ashamed to be associated to our city and football club if this is how we treat our sporting hero's and I am so glad that Jock Wallace isn't here to experience how Alan is being treated. God bless you Jock and stay strong for Alan Young! Up the Youn9y.

Alan has been there for us and been there with us, it's only right that he should continue the journey and I wouldn't listen to any other commentary at matches either. He's the most passionate and knowledgeable of any of them.

Gotta show Jane Hill at BBC Radio Leicester that the wrong decision was made. Bring back Youn9y!

Alan knows the team, the town and the profession inside out. You would never get a more passionate and knowledgeable chap who is likeable and worthy of this gig. Ridiculous not to have him on the radio team! Sort it out!

Thankfully bbc local radio wont be the only place to follow the city home & away in the premier league. I shall be seeking those other sources untill mr mcleicester is returned to the airwaves. Heard that muzzy is being lined up and despite alot of love and respect for muzzy and all his efforts in a blue shirt im still not gonna listen. Alan called the game as he saw it whether good or bad and any sport fan will tell u its never always good, thats the way sport works to keep us hooked and always wanting more.
