Stop Morocco from Hosting FIFA Until the Killing of Dogs Stops

To: FIFA, the Government of Morocco, and International Animal Welfare Organizations

We, the undersigned, are deeply distressed by reports that Morocco has undertaken the mass killing of stray dogs, with claims of up to 30 lakh (3 million) dogs being targeted, purportedly to prepare for hosting FIFA events. Such actions are inhumane, unethical, and contrary to the spirit of global unity and respect that FIFA embodies.

This mass killing not only violates animal welfare principles but also tarnishes the global image of Morocco. Humane alternatives such as sterilization programs, vaccination campaigns, and adoption initiatives have proven effective in managing stray populations worldwide without resorting to cruelty.

We call upon:

1. FIFA to reconsider Morocco’s eligibility as a host country for FIFA tournaments unless immediate and humane measures are adopted to address stray dog populations.

2. The Government of Morocco to halt the mass killing of dogs and implement ethical stray animal management practices.

3. International Animal Welfare Organizations to intervene and assist Morocco in adopting sustainable and humane solutions.

This is a call for humanity, compassion, and responsible governance. Stray animals deserve care and respect, not senseless slaughter.

Sign this petition to urge FIFA and Morocco to take immediate action to end this cruelty and uphold humane values.
