I’ve watched this child since birth he’s always been well mannered & respectful to adults & peers. He’s worked hard & gives his all in whatever challenges comes before him. I know the mishap that happened wasn’t right but give this child a second chance, sooner or later we all needed one to better ourselves in life

Christopher Dunlap (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

#39

He deserves to walk. If the other student was the one that instigated the fight, he should be punished, and not Mr. Wilson.

Jennifer Melton (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

This Is A One Time Experience, That Doesn't Come Around Frequently... Give Our Young Men The Privilege Of Earning A Proud Recognition For Their Educational Reward. I Think This Young Man Should Walk The Stage, And Graduate Proudly Along With His Fellow Classmates.

Troy Wallace (Ruby, 2024-05-17)

Denorris earned the privilege to be able to walk across that stage with his fellow classmates. He has been dedicated to his academic’s and athleticism for central high school during his 4 years in attendance. To take this moment away from him is cruel and unjustified, this will put a stain on central high schools already fragile image. Please do the right thing and let this child walk and celebrate his accomplishments over the last 12years. This is a moment that he will never get back and definitely earned.

As a ex law enforcement officer if this kid had no record at all then he should walk. He protected himself and this is by far.OVER REACH OF POWER FROM THE POWERS TO BE.

Josh Clark (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

This young man needs to be able to walk with his class. This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME chance, and he shouldn’t be reprimanded of it. Especially with knowing the others student record.

Leslie Lockhart (Lexington, 2024-05-17)

I’m signing this petition because this young has goals for his future. This young man tried to prevent the fight and defends himself. He’s worked hard all four years and has been a role model for our growing young men.

Denorris is not a bad child/person and anybody around here knows that. He isn’t known for being in trouble but the fact one child gets to walk the stage while he doesn’t is wrong when they were both in the same situation just about. It’s his last year in high school i feel as if he should get to walk the stage and enjoy his graduation like the rest of us are.

Destiny Blakeney (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

I'm signing because this boy deserves to walk across that stage. You only get this chance ONCE!!!. Let him have it!

Mallory Deason (Mt Croghan, 2024-05-17)

Jr. deserves to walk with his school mates and team players. Taking this important day away from a smart, successful, athletic, and all around awesome young man is not right. There is so much to say about this situation on Jr’s behalf, but what’s important right now is let this child, brother, friend, son, grandson, walk proudly across the field with his colleagues and receive his diploma of success.

He deserves the chance to walk he did the work to make it this far only to be denied over a simple mistake

Chiquita Hall (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#114

I feel like he should definitely be able to walk! He seems like a good kid, & has done well the years he’s attended high school! Clearly the other student is the problem, as he’s been in trouble numerous of times!!! LET HIM WALK.

Alexanderia Hedding (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

katie smith (lenoir, 2024-05-17)

#124

I'm signing because you only get one chance to walk with your HS class. Don't take this once in a life time memory from him and his family.

Andre Miller (Columbia, 2024-05-17)

#131

this boy has every right to walk that stage!! he did not wanna fight and it was SELF DEFENSE!! there is no reason he should be denied the right to walk that stage they only get this opportunity once in a life time to walk the stage at their high school graduation and yall wanna deny him that right over self defense CHS DO BETTER!!

hannah wallace (summerdale, 2024-05-17)

#138

This young man deserves to walk, he deserves to be recognized for all his hard work. MANY people never see this day. To take this away from him for protecting himself is a mistake and it is something that he will never get again..

Breanna Myers (Lexington, 2024-05-17)

#141

It was an act of self defense. Denorris not just gonna sit there and take a beating and it’s not fair to denorris to face the consequences for someone (with a record) who started the fight in the first place.

Fernando Sanchez (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#144

This young man deserves to walk with his class!

Precious Bush (Augusta, 2024-05-17)

#147

This young man has worked his entire childhood, youth, and teenage years for this milestone and opportunity. NO PERSON or ANY SITUATION should ever have the ability of destroying this moment for him, no matter what. One mishap should not dictate what he deserves regarding his entire school career success.
Graduation is only one day that represents many, the one day that won’t mean much to others but everything to this young man.
Let’s set an example for all by doing what’s right and allowing him to celebrate his accomplishments.
What if it was your child?
Thank you.

Paris Rose (Charlotte, 2024-05-17)

#148

This is absolutely unfair! He deserves to walk!!!!! Principal do the right thing!!!!

Judy Cline (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#150

This young man has worked hard to graduate and he has done so without a disciplinary record. He reacted in self defense. Let this young man attend his graduation!!!

Erika Smith (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#154

I know this kid, he has always been a well mannered young man!

Jerome Robinson (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#163

This child has worked his butt off his entire life and he deserves to walk. This is not a bad kid. We want to see ALL these kids walk at graduation, not just our own

Brandi Holt (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#167

Let that boy walk that stage!!! Central is wrong for that. That boy did 12 years and deserves to walk across that stage!

Makayla Whitmore (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#169

It's not right that he shouldn't be able to walk because he defended himself!

Kayla Moree (Monroe, 2024-05-17)

#171

Thanks to all who came together for this we really Appreciate you all for fighting with us with this Situation.

Denorris Wilson SR (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

#175

This is not fair he was hit first of course he should definitely defend himself and that should not stop him from walking because he was hit regardless of the grade of the person who hit him first central has always been this way He has witnesses standing up for him let him walk he was not the instigator he was the victim and it's not fair to him not to be able to walk he has a clean record for disciplinary and conduct at that school he was an athlete so that should tell you something and the cameras don't lie

Melissa Hinson (Belmont, 2024-05-17)

#177

He should be allowed to walk he was only defending himself

Summer McClain (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

#180

I believe this decision to not allow Denorris the opportunity to walk at graduation and receive his high schooo diploma is an injustice to him and all students who have worked to hard to achieve success academically and in sports. A split second decision to defend yourself can alter many lives; but also can be put back on track with the softening of one’s heart. This young man deserves to walk at graduation so we have to look at the track record of both students here. One will lose his chance never to get back again while the other can if he chooses to. Soften your hearts and do the RIGHT thing!!

Kayla Montgomery (Pageland, 2024-05-17)

#182

cause I’m class of 2024 too !!!! Let him walk

Jayda Burton (Cheese, 2024-05-17)

Casey Whitford (Jefferson, 2024-05-17)

Frederick Brown (Cheraw, 2024-05-17)

I am signing this because this young man deserves to walk. One altercation should not cost him this moment that only comes once.

Peter Smith (Dorchester, 2024-05-17)

#198

If there is proof he was attacked first he has every right to defend himself. He has worked hard and stayed out of trouble he deserves to walk
