I have watched Judge Ratha be biased, disrespectful, defence being attacked and prosecutors and witnesses being unfairly lead and assisted.
I would also like to understand what it *draft warrant of arrest * especially years after being sent to NPA

We need the real killer of senzo Meyiwa behind bars, we need justice and a fair trial

Worried about how the judge shows his bais toward the defense

I fully agree with this petition. It is long overdue and at this rate Justice will not be served as it's not seen to be done but bias.

Elizabeth Phaladi (Johannesburg, 2024-04-27)

#82

I'm signing because I want Justice for Senzo Meyiwa and want the right people to be accountable for the death of the late Superstar.
The Judge is very unfair, rude, showing feminist towards one of the Advocates and very impatient when the Defence team has to do anything that'll prove their case.

Phaphama Nojekwa (George, 2024-04-27)

No one deserves to be arrested for a crime they did not commit.

Poziswa Tshayimpi (Pretoria, 2024-04-27)

#85

I'm signing because I've witnessed the judged showing bias in full view of the country. He's been impatient with the defense counsels from begginong to the present moment. He's been acting as a judge, Prosecutor and Witness at the same time. He's been bragging about 50years experience but his conduct has shown an impartial judge. This case now has shown "ME' personally as an UNFAIR TRIAL. His conduct is questionable without a doubt and it's sickening.

I want justice for Senzo and the Meyiwa family and with how Ratha is conducting the trial I feel like he’s just doing it for the sake of finding the accused guilty.

Pfarelo Malange (Louis trichardt, 2024-04-27)

#121

The evidence does not support the hypothesis and the 5 accused are not the people who did the crime.

M Gusha (Qumbu, 2024-04-27)

#123

I want free and fair trial for the accused and justice for the Meyiwa family .

The behavior and the conduct of Ratha Mokgoathleng is unprofessional.

Judge is rude bias helping witnesses he is also a prosecutor disrespect the defence look down upon the accused

Thoko Edith Mokoena (KZN Durban, 2024-04-27)

#148

The judge is so bias that he is the procecuter, witness and is against the defense. He doesn't handle the court according to law and he is not respecting colleagues as a law society. He is Mr know it all undermining defense and testifying for witnesses. He need to be removed in this case.

Nyaniso Madikane (Cape Town, 2024-04-27)

#151

I'm signing because of the unfairness of the judge and the state witnesses which are lying in court everyday...

Blessing Chibaya (Capetown, 2024-04-27)

#152

The judge is :
obviously biased.
Openly on the state side
Answer questions for the state witnesses
Very Rude to the defense lawyers
Feels Superior
Channels the witnesses to go which side.
Gives warning signs not to answer when the question corners the witnesses.

Dee Hart (Benoni, 2024-04-27)

I’m singing this because of the conduct of the Judge. He is a prosecutor, state witness and judge at a go, he appears to have already made a judgment just taking the world through formality to reach his already plotted destination. He is a shame to SA, SADC and African judiciary.😢😢

Unfair trial by judge in the Senzo Meyiwa

Danny Debeila (Pretoria, 2024-04-27)

#166

The behavior of the judge is completely unacceptable. The bias is evident on many occasions. I mean when you insinuate as a judge that "excluded" and "inconclusive" are similar in meaning when you are considering evidence is mind boggling. He has left himself open to dire criticism. If the accused were to be found guilty of murder beyond reasonable doubt, there would be plenty of grounds to appeal the case.

Kabelo Mosoeu (Pretoria, 2024-04-27)

Though not a South African citizen, I'm signing because I agree in whole with this petition. I have family, friends, and colleagues resident in South Africa. The way this case which is based on flimsy evidence is being handled leaves a lot to be desired of the South Africa justice system. The NPA and the whole SA justice system cannot ignore the growing voices in South Africa and the world at large with a keen interest on this case who view this case as a test of Justice in South Africa. What confidence will your citizens have in the SA justice system when such flawed evidence is presented coupled with a biased aproach in handling such a case? How will foreign and domestic investors believe their rights are legally protected in South Africa when the state condones judicial bias, shoddy or incomplete investigative work, such blatant manipulation of facts or forensic evidence? What picture does the way this case is being handled paint of the South African judiciary in general? Senzo Meyiwa was more than a football star, he was a son, a father and a proud South African citizen loved and celebrated by many all over the world. If this is the best justice you can offer for your slain beloved, iconic football star and arguably National Hero, what then of a common citizen or resident of South Africa? For the NPA and the esteemed South African judiciary to ignore the pleas of a fair trial is a shame and a crime on your own citizens, the very same people you swore to protect. Rest assured the world is watching, and the outcome if this case will have both a direct and indirect impact on the perception of rule of law in South Africa. Rest In Peace Senzo Meyiwa, may your demise serve to create a better, credible justice delivery service in South Africa and beyond.

I’m signing this because the human rights of the suspects in court are infringed by the judge. The judge is rude and biased. He is unfair. He is sexist to Adv. Mshololo. He is treating adv Baloyi as a teacher’s pet showing favoritism. He is disrupting in court. He is also unprofessional. He needs to go back to retirement. He is blocking justice.

Nqobile Portia Qhuqha (Umhlanga, 2024-04-27)

Under his judgment. We'll never have justice for senzo

Puleng Mocheko (Lephalale/Lempopo, 2024-04-27)

Judge became a player and a refree at the same time and that makes him unfair towards this trial.

Morena Masita (Mbombela, 2024-04-27)

#185

I feel the is too much unfairness and worse the judge is so arrogant and bullying the defense but mostly no one is above the law, if the offense is that the accused were hired to kill and the police know the master mind why did they bring the case to court that is not concluded and really the ignoring of the cry from the decease family, they received calls and believe that the killer is one in the house why are they not questioned just like any one in the country I feel its not fair

The judge is biased.

Nonhlanhla Benani (Sasolburg, 2024-04-27)

#188

I have been following this case and from the beginning and definitely even a blind person can hear the state and Judge are bias, we are not facing a fair trial here, the writing is in the wall that this is misconduct. he has already made or found the accused guilty and he abuses the defense,

Pitso Ferdinand Kwele (potchefstroom, 2024-04-27)

#192

I'm signing because Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng is biased, he believes that he is a person with color as he hates black people and treat the defense councils as if he is feeding his own dogs, by using his arthritis fingers.

Hope Motsepe (Soweto, 2024-04-27)

#199

The judge is taking sides,he always protects the state and bull the defense at all the time
