Stop The Transition To Wind Farms And Bring Down the Cost Of Energy

I disagree with the expenditure on renewables with no clear oversight as to where the money is going, what it is doing to the environment and the total lack of common sense as to how this is truly affecting the Australian population.

Wind farms are touted to be better for climate change but to install them you have to clear the land of all the trees! Wind farms are a farce and so is climate change

Jennifer Cerato (Ballina, 2024-02-16)

I believe Climate Change is a scam and wind-farms are not the answer.

Windfarms and solar panel farms are destroying our food producing farms, landscapes, our forests and native animals and they are enormously expensive to purchase, erect, maintain, dispose of and are unnecessary. We must go Nuclear.

Paula Blair (Coolangatta, 2024-02-16)

They are destroying our fauna and wildlife in the name of climate and renewable which they aren't

Paul Teitzel (Mermaid Beach, 2024-02-17)

#23

I believe renewables are destroying our country side and that they are not green reliable energy as enormous amounts of trees and grasslands are being removed and destroyed in the name of "saving the environment" which is actually destroying the countryside. With the massive increase in power bills over the past 3 years, it is not an economical choice.

Unless there’s wind & quite allot of it wind farms are useless! Plus they’re a blight on the landscape 👎👎👎

Agricultural land is for food producing.
We have enough coal, oil and natural gas in abundance for our energy needs.
Unrecyclabe wind turbines are a scam on the Australian people

I am signing this because everything that has been mentioned about these stupid wind turbines is correct. The people involved in this disaster should be jailed for the rest of their life.

Ria Cahill (Gold Coast, 2024-02-22)

'Climate change' and 'net Zero' are all lies to tax people more and gain more control. This so called 'green' energy does far more damage than any other type of energy. There are many better ways to control emissions and rubbish that we produce, most of those would impact the pockets big corporate companies and their major shareholders which is why they are not being done.

Julie Mower (PACIFIC PINES, 2024-02-22)

I see the strife that is happening all over Europe with them. If Canberra wants them. Then surround the Capital with them instead of wasting good farming land where we either grow crops or raise cattle and sheep.

I totally believe that wind power will not bring down our power costs. It is unreliable, costs the taxpayer billions and will cause a massive blight on our landscape and a nightmare in landfill as they break down and are proven useless.

Only the rich can enjoy the delights of egalitarianism. Wealthy suburbs don’t want asylum seekers, community housing, wind farms or solar farms. Yet they praise their benefits - but not in their suburbs. Labor is happy to push this on to rural people but no TEALs want to see them next door.

Andrew Houghton (Dubbo, 2024-03-15)

I do not believe wind farms are 'green' or sustainable nor could they ever come close to producing a cost benefit compared to other sources of electrical power generation.

John Ashby (4556, 2024-03-15)

I don't believe in radical climate change, yes it's changing but not to the extreme being carried on about. Australia makes 1% of co2 what Australia makes in a year China makes in 16 days. We don't need renewables we should have cheap coal driven energy we have bucket loads of coal in Australia. Bowen is an idiot and will drive Australia into black n brown outs. STOP RENEWABLES!!!!!

I the undersigned, petition against the installation of wind farms for the following reasons:

1. Cost Inefficiency: Wind farms are costly to install and maintain, leading to unnecessary financial burdens on taxpayers and consumers alike.

2. Land Usage: The construction of wind farms encroaches upon valuable land resources, disrupting ecosystems and infringing upon agricultural and natural landscapes.

3. End-of-Life Disposal Concerns: The disposal of wind turbine components poses significant environmental challenges. There is a lack of clear and sustainable methods for the decommissioning and disposal of these structures.

4. Energy Reliability: Wind energy is unreliable due to its dependence on weather conditions. What happens when there is no wind or sunlight? We need reliable backup solutions for uninterrupted energy supply.

5. Neglect of Alternative Energy Sources: Australia possesses abundant coal and uranium resources, yet we fail to utilize them efficiently. Nuclear energy remains one of the safest and most cost-effective energy sources, yet it is often overlooked due to misconceptions.

6. Global Pollution Disparity: While Australia produces a small percentage of pollution, countries like China emit vast amounts of pollutants. Implementing wind farms locally does little to address global pollution disparities.
