I am a long time resident of this area and we are already struggling with crime and unemployment and infrastructure. No infrastructures will mean a deteriaration of the agricultural land and resources for which this area is set out.Marius Viljoen (Andeon, 2021-03-13)

We want housing for the people wit water sanitation electricity. We dont want squatters anymore there is already to much. All of the people staying there uses borehole water and squatters will contaminate the water recource due to no toilets and sanitation.Tian Harmse (Pretoria gardens, 2021-03-13)

This is were we live ... crime is already so high we dont sleep at night! If they move 900+ people to this location ... we will not be able to stay here anymore ... our dogs get poisoned ... our kids cant play in the streets! There are already no infrastructure in this area ... our roads are in terrible condition!Francis Pretorius (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)

This is a rural area where there are still farming activities taking place. Putting squatters in the areabwill destroy both the landscape and the value of the surrounding area. There are no facilities, streets that are therebare not being kept by the Council and crime is a problem which would all put further pressure on the area. This can't be in line with town planning and decent development of te area.Annelise Buchling (Andeon, 2021-03-13)

The planned portion must be fully serviced with water electricity an surageThe biggest problem and protest actions is due to sites not completly serviced and people must stay in inuhumane sicumstances and neigbouring residents are left with unable to use roads during protest actions
The risk of pulution of borehole water we are a agricultural section
The sercurity risk as there are not enough job opertunities in this area how must s jobless person survive

I have started a B&B and Stepdown Clinic from my premises, which will be operating soon. This will have a negative impact on my business. The increase in crime will be a further deterrent for potential clients.Erna Pretorius (Andeon A.H., 2021-03-13)

I live in this area, and we already have more than 8 informal settlements. There are no infrastructure and no services to these settlements. This cause a lot of unhappy people who close the main roads often. I will not support another informal settlement. Government need to develop infrastructure first.Nelmarie Eloff (Pretoria, Kameeldrift west, 2021-03-13)
#85
There is already a shortage of work causing high crime rates in the area. Another informal settlement would cause an uncontrollable amount of crime in the area, eventually resulting in the decline of property valueShaun Stoltz (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)

The infrastructure can not support anymore squatters. The crime is through the roof already and the police is loosing the battle here. Move them to land that was already allocated to them in 1994. I'm sure the government can house a few in their own backyards if they are so worried about the people. Have a lekker braai with your new neighbor while they loot you place and rape/assault your wife, mother and kids. Welcome to the new normal. Welcome to South Africa.Natasha Tredoux (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)

There are going to be more crime and our infrastructure cannnot handle more people. Schools are already full and we already have to many people living in informal settlements. We do not have work around the are for more people. Our value of our properties are also going to decrease. Our area are going to be unsafe and the police does not have anough man power to handle all the people.Marina Enslin (PRETORIA, 2021-03-13)

This is where my home and business is ... here is no infrastructure for the 900+ people that they want to relocate to this area ... the roads are in terrible condition and crime is already on the increase in this area on a daily basis with Zama Zama just around the corner! This will increase crime and put immence strain on the infrastructure and roads that is not maintained!Rory Welthagen (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)
#125
There is no infrastructure. Pit toilets is going to contaminate our boreholes which we are dependant on. Fauna and Flora is going to be distroyed with the fires they are going to make. Health risks with water and air pollution. Crime is going to esculate, its allready a problem with the small squatter camps around us. The value of our properties is going to be nagatively affected, it will be worth nothing at the end of the day. Government promised RDP development, now theres no funds so the government wants to make it the communities problem.Helen Nienaber (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)

I dont want a location between our houses and businesses. The government must give them land elsewhere. Why must they come and steal and loot ?Cherise Bornman (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)
#144
By establishing the informal housing in the area, we as a community would allow the South African Government to stand against their own Human Rights Act, an Act that allows us equality, human dignity, life, privacy, freedom and security. By allowing this informal housing settlement, we are taking part in denying the people their right to healthy, stable and sanitary living conditions. We are also allowing the South African Government to take away the rights of our chidren.Colette De Lange (Gauteng, 2021-03-13)

We already have daily issues with roads being blocked and set alight by informal settlements in our area hampering our daily routine. Crime has risen and you are not safe in your own home. The roads in the area are also over congested with the volumes of cars. It can not handle any more traffic if not upgraded as well. So no, we do not want or need more people just dumped in our area without proper facilities.Charmaine Strydom (Pretoria, 2021-03-13)

The government cannot fulfil their promises.Moving one bunch of thugs from one area with a high crime rate to another, (Andeon) that has the biggest crime rate will definitely NOT solve the problem.
It seems that the government wants the whole country exisit out of squatter camps.
Get rid of the illegals you want to move and create jobs, that is not that difficult.
