I want to camp cross province. While camping I'm normally well distanced from fellow campers. I use my own equipment so I know it clean and the swimming pools have so many chemicals that I will be covered.

Riaan Le Roux (Krugersdorp, 2020-06-27)

We are the most popular marketing platform for campsites throughout SA

Loret Truter (Heidelberg, 2020-06-27)

#9

The industry is going to collapse

Cornelius Hendrik Van Heerden (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

#10

I am concerned about the number of businesses that are closing and the employees that are now sitting without an income. South Africa due to some draconic rules during lockdown cannot afford to loose more income due to this pandemic. There are huge numbers of people employed in the camping and tourism sectors all with families that are loosing jobs and so probably the only income of the household. Tourism CAN be opened under strict rules.

Willem Pretorius (Harrismith, 2020-06-27)

#18

I love camping. It is a safe way of getting out of the house

Nanette Strydom (Port Elizabeth, 2020-06-27)

#27

I'm a resort owner and have no income and can provide guests with safe isolated camping sites. Our camping sites have bush between them and guests make use of private ablution facilities.

Anel Visser (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

#31

I represent 5700 long term campers some of whom have no fixed home due to financial limits. For these campers camping is NOT leisure, it is suvival!

Ilze Burger (Vanderbijlpark, 2020-06-27)

#45

Camping is social distancing

Thea Bester-Swanepoel (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

Hannes Pretorius (Parys, 2020-06-27)

#50

Also small business owner and understand all to well

Hannes Esterhuyse (Randburg, 2020-06-27)

#51

Parke en kampeerterreine moet oopmaak om voortbestaan te verseker, werkloosheid te beperk en groei in ekonomie te verseker.

Anita Du Plessis (Potchefstroom, 2020-06-27)

#53

I am signing because camping supports the idea of social distancing fully. Sites with private ablutions limit the use to your family members ( who would also share such facilities at home). It is outdoors and I think good for the soul without risk of infection. This way we also support struggling industry without risk increase

Yolanda Du Plessis (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

#55

I need a vacation!!!

Elize Stewart (Mokopane, 2020-06-27)

#58

I’m a resort owner and my workers need to come back to work to get paid to survive.

Elna Muller (Brits, 2020-06-27)

#59

I'm signing because I believe that a camping site is 100% safer than for instance a cinema! Out in the open air, lots of open space. Ablutions are kept cleaner than a public loo in a shopping centre. It makes no sense to keep them closed.

Esmé Tenner (Edenvale, 2020-06-27)

#62

Open our camping please

Marthinus Brits (Springs, 2020-06-27)

#64

the industry employs many people not only in the tourist side but also down stream manufacturing of equipment. Many jobs are still at risk in this industry and with the termination of TERS at end of June these people will have not income as employers are forced to retrench staff.

Garry Coady (Durban, 2020-06-27)

#67

I'm signing because I have a business which is 100% reliant on the opening of the leisure camping industry.

Jannie Engelbrecht (Krugersdorp, 2020-06-27)

Alida Genis (Vanderbijl, 2020-06-27)

#75

I am a caravan camper. We are not allowed to camp, but I see no reason why we can't camp. Why can I go even to a restaurant with lots of people, but I can't go over provincial borders to camp alone .

Daniel Burger (Vanderbijlpark, 2020-06-27)

#76

Please stop killing the tourism industry and start saving the lives of thousands of RSA citizans!

We love the outdoors, Camping is our therapy and after the last 90 days we urgently needs therapy! Campsites will definitely be safer than n mall or a casino!
Resort owners also need to put food on the table and pay there bills!

Marieta Fouche (Kempton Park, 2020-06-27)

#84

We are getting frustrated to be locked in for 3 months!!!
Camping cannot be more dangerous than shopping in a mall.......!

Kallie DAlebout (Welkom, 2020-06-27)

#87

With shops being open, church services allowed, funerals allowed etc people are mingling daily. There is no social distancing in the shops. Camping is an outdoor activity, fresh air and you can avoid contact with people. You can get out of town where infection is most likely.

Bob Swart (Durban, 2020-06-27)

#88

Jane Coetzee (Boksburg, 2020-06-27)

Pieter Moelich (Cape Town, 2020-06-27)

#115

Because if restaurants and cinemas and casino's can open why not camping sites. It's a joke.

Nadia Blom (Roodepoort, 2020-06-27)

#121

it is absolutely ridiculous that casino's are open but caravan parks are not .

Jacqui Potgieter (Empangeni, 2020-06-27)

#123

I love camping and teaching my children the values of nature and the outdoors. When we camp there is no tv's and we as a family get to talk to each other and interact. It's a valued time for us as a family to connect with each other. Our escape from the urban jungle and day to day rush. Thank you.

Christine Erasmus (Kempton Park, 2020-06-27)

#124

We need to get some exercise and fresh air.

Coenraad Calitz (Bloemfontein, 2020-06-27)

#129

I already made a reservation for camping in KNP and pay for it

Sarel Haasbroek (Leeupoort, 2020-06-27)

#130

1. The camping resorts are really struggeling as they had no income for more than 3moths and staff will loose there jobs.
2. Camping allows for social distancing as you camp on your own site with your ownaccomodation.
3. Ablutions can be sanitise after each visit and social distancing can be practised

Linda Pienaar (Krugersdorp, 2020-06-27)

#134

I believe all camping sites can and will proceed with caution and are able to implement social distancing and hygienic protocols.
