I'm signing because the intersection is unsafe for pedestrian and other motorists crossing the Delmas Rd

Herman Eksteen (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

#1231

I reside in Wingate Park and drive that intersection every day. I have witnessed many accidents and near accidents. also the beggers at the robots are causing vehicles to swerve out causing accidents.
Pls do something

Wendy Kotze (Wingate Park, 2020-07-25)

#1234

This crossing needs to be made safe.
Too many serious accidents.
1. It is very dangerous turning right from the Delmas side into Wingate.
2. Vehicles skipping reg light at high speed in

Jaco Dawkins (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

#1241

I am concerned for the safety of other children and even adults and elderly people who often have to cross that intersection by foot.

Lanie Botha (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

#1244

Drivers in general have no regard for traffic signs, the law, allowable spees, fellow drivers and pedestrians. It is time for authorities to make sure that all drivers are forced to keep to speed limits, respect robots for what they are and are fined appropriately when not adhering to this.

Frederik Kruger (Tshwane, 2020-07-25)

#1245

Safety comes first on the road.

Andre De Beer (Springs, 2020-07-25)

#1249

I'm signing because this is not the first accident / fatality at the above intersection. A few years ago a young lady motorcyclist was killed while crossing. It is a very dangerous intersection. There are no lines and for the most part, motorists treat it like a kyalami race track. Elardus Park Primary School is just up the road and the Shopping Centre has just been upgraded. Consequently there will be a lot more traffic through this intersection be it motor vehicles, motorcyclists, bicyclists, or pedestrians. Please will you lend an ear to this petition and do all in your power to render it a safe crossing.
Many thanks

Jean Davis (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

Pieter Avenant (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

I have been using this intersection for the past 10 years, and whenever I need to cross it, I feel unsafe.
The green pedestrian light does not stay on long enough for a person to cross the road and before you know it, there are vehicles coming your way.

Monique Scheepers (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

I am concerned about the heavy speeding of traffic on that road. There are always traffic officials on crn. of Barnard and Alandale street, to give fines for not stopping dead still. Never an accident there! Please use those people to patrol Delmas road. Thank you.

#1344

Safety for our children

Carin Harmse (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

#1350

The number of accidents at this intersection over the years is truly worrisome. Pedestrians are always in danger, as well as vehicles trying to turn into Barnard Street. Visibility is poor with regard to oncoming traffic when one needs to turn into Elarduspark or Wingate park, and the robot arrows does not always work. Speeding in Delmas road is horrendous, and the trucks & busses AND taxis néver slow down toward the intersection. They have no respect for road safety and rules!

Elmarie Smit (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

#1352

Something urgently needs to be done specifically about the high accident rate at the corner of Delmas and Barnard Street.
