It's a security factor for the neighboring area, its lowers the value of property in the surrounding area. The natural stream that flows through the nature area is polluted as well as the veld as there is no ablution for them . Its unsightly overall.

Tshwane is doing nothing to stop the land occupation. This despite the fact that I and community leaders had several meetings with them and informed them on the consequences. The land is earmarked for development, yet the council is allowing constant occupation.

Tony Grunewald (Pretoria, 2020-07-20)

#995

I am signing, because the shacks being built there are making the Wolwerspruit a health hazard. The water in the spruit has become contaminated with faeces, washing soap, and urine.
The land was purchased by the Public Investment Corporation from the city for housing. The PIC fenced the area, but however did not enclose it properly, leaving several entrances into the area open. Due to the pandemic it’s not allowed to evict the current shack dwellers. However the city must be responsible and provide facilities, water tanks, and toilets, for those that have currently invaded that piece of land. There must be proper policing to ensure. That there is no more invasion

Perry Garlick (Pretoria, 2020-07-20)

#997

Isebella Peacock (Pretoria, 2020-07-20)

#999

I am signing because these ingormal settlers pose a security risk to the area.
