As a police officer in Willoughby at that time ,I remember that horrible ,heartless murder.I knew her from the pizza restraunt ,such a happy hard working young lady.I lived through the search and the capture and saw the brutality of this crime.I don't belive he should be released anytime soon for any reason .Her family will never be released from their pain and sudden loss.

Having worked as a victim advocate in Lake County for many years I have seen the enormous pain losing a child does to the family! The horrific way Christie died should tell the parole board that this animal should never get to walk out of that prison. He put Christie's family in a prison of their own that will last a lifetime and he MUST remain in the prison he chose for himself. In addition, being a resident of Lake County, I never want this animal to walk the same streets that I do.

I'm a victim of domestic violence and almost died.... my abuser is still walking around free after 5 related charges within 5 years against 3 different women. I was on the neurosurgeon floor with a brain bleed and black eyes and bruises over most of my body. I do not like these dangerous people walking around and do not feel safe.

I live in Willoughby and have sent all of my children through Willoughby school system. It is a fantastic city, and we love our schools, our police department, and we LOVE all of our children.
I am a proud Willoughby resident, as are so many. As are the Montrellas. They have done amazing work in our community, gifting kids with scholarships to keep their beautiful daughter, Christine's memory alive. I respect them AND I lift them in prayer.
I am signing this petition today, as a mother. My son, Gavin, is a Junior at South. The same as Christie was, when this awful, evil man took her fragile life. He stole from this family, something they will never have back. Their flesh and blood. Their daughter.
The courts spared his life and allowed him to go to prison, after his admission of guilt.
But our community wants him to stay where he is.
I believe it is the least we can do for this family, who has lost so much at the hands of this cold blooded killer. They deserve to remain in Willoughby, their home, doing the work they do to help the community, knowing that their daughters murderer is locked away.
Far, far away from the rest of our children, who still attend South High and who walk home from their part time jobs.. Please help us protect our children and keep this murderer behind bars!! I BEG!! Thank you for your consideration.

My niece was murdered back in September 2015 and the wheels of justice turn so slowly we are still waiting for our day in court with the man who violently took her life.
