Coffee Trough is a quiet spot where you can grab a bite, meet people, watch your kids play and bring your dog. It is a unique home business with a lot of support locally. It is run respectfully and quietly and when I pop in, there is no car congestion as most customers go there while walking, surfing or pop over from the neighbourhood on foot.Paula Garlick (Adelaide, 2024-02-07)

The Coffee Trough is an important part of our local community. It's a great place to meet neighbours and strike up conversations with people you would otherwise be unlikely to see due to the busy lives we all lead. To see it closed will have a detrimental effect on the patrons who regularly use it as it reduces the amount of face to face interaction they are likely to have that day. As well as coffee it is also a market for local creatives and florist to sell their wares. When people spend money here it will come back directly to the local community creating local economic benefits for all.Gordon Phipps (Seaford, 2024-02-07)

Christine works really hard to provide for her family. She is doing something she really loves and enjoys. Through her business she brings a great service and has built a great community. It would be such a shame to see it be taken away.Running her business from home helps a single mum provide for her family but be there for them while working and serve the community with her great enthusiasm.

This is where I take my son and daughter every Friday and this is such a big part of mine and my daughters routine coming in and seeing people and children we connect with from the community. When there, I observe and over hear joy and laughter and unity from all members of the community. Christine has done such a wonderful job at not only providing the community with a wholesome food and coffee venue but a wonderful place to meet as any community member. There is never a chaotic moment observed. People pop in on the way to work, walking past or even just coming in to see what's to offer via Christine's business. Its never busy and i always manage to find a park well away from anyones driveway. People are always so happy and humbled by the wholesomeness of the coffee trough. Christine also offers support to other small business from the area and she has personally helped my business grow by simply supporting me. Locals love locally made things, the coffee trough even support a cherry company on the fleurieu peninsula. Taking this away from our community and Christine will be absolutely devastating and have it quite a negative impact on the community who have supported and continue to support The Coffee Trough.Shannen Hayton (Seaford Rise, 2024-02-08)

Favourite coffee shop.Part of my Wednesday morning routine, as a disabled man it gets me out into the community and seeing regualar people to engage with which is part of my NDIS goals. To have this routine disrupted has set me up for a really bad week so far... I am struggling to cope.

I’m a mental health support worker for a client lives at Seaford Rise. My client and I have been coffee trough customers for many years. Christin and the coffee trough provide my client a safe and welcoming environment that he is confident to get into the community. It will be a huge impact to my client if the trough and community is gone.Yang Song (Adelaide, 2024-02-10)

I walk in to coffee trough like many of the other customers, and I've not noticed any car congestion. Coffee trough is perfect for mum's pushing prams and it would be a real shame to remove this option for us. :)Nicole Bickle (Adelaide, 2024-03-06)
