Informal settlements is not healthy and a risk of fires. Crime rate is also going through the roof. Government must ensure proper housing which must be paid for by the tenants.

Louis Van wyk (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#609

We dont want more crime in our neighbourhood. There is no SAPS police presence now ... how will this be better when 4000 more people come to live here. Already dealing with theft and rape and drugs in this area WE DONT NEED MORE PROBLEMS.

Denise Van Rensburg (Pretoria Andeon, 2021-03-15)

#611

Ons infrastruktuur dra al reeds swaar aan al die settlements wat hier geplaas word. En die crime rate styg daagliks. Waar is ons regte as belastingbetalers?

Madelein Esterhuyse (Zandfontein Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#614

It will create more problems than solutions to businesses and home owners in the area

Wika Esterhuizen (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

The constitution is clear. I am not going even try and explain it to those who drafted it. Their ignorance is our biggest problem.
We have already a high unemployment rate in this area. With the Gomorra settlement our crime went up. Strikes are on the order of the day in our suburbs which was a very peaceful suburb due to corrupt politicians not delivering. We are gatvol and on the end of the day we sit with the problem. Our children's safety and right to education is effected as schools cannot be reached during the unrest. We cannot trust any political party nor corrupt officials from parliament. Go and dump your problem somewhere else. Maybe in your own suburbs. We all know it is about votes in areas you struggle to win during elections.

Edeward Moster (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#624

This should not be allowed. Crime stats will be sky high.

Theo Kriel (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#626

We dont need more crime in our neighbore hood

Christiaan Smit (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#629

I stay near Andeon and the crime will increase in the area.

Susan Meyer (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

It's going to happen like Schubert park and green containers. Moving them further from transport and work. Sanitation and all other services MUST be in place otherwise the stench and raw products will be like on toll road Pelindaba by Danville and wetlands at Atteridgeville. Raw sewerage flowing onto main rivers and the stench is unbearable. The crime rate, toi-toi and vandalism will increase as soon as they don't get what they want. Previously Malusi area strikes because no parks for children, no transport to schools for children. Taking into consideration problems at Sunway and Malusi, this is another road blockage should they strike, disrupting yet another peace of our roads. Road structures to be updated should they go ahead.

Naomip Ploos van Amstel (Andeon, 2021-03-15)

#632

Crime in our area is out of control. Our recently graduate neighbour was attacked and beaten in n house robbery on 14 March. We are not save. Moving squatters to the area will worsen the problem.

Heleen Gous (Kameeldrift Wes, Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#633

Do not move squatters to Kenneth and Mack street field. There is no municipal infrastructure like sewage lines, electricity and water lines. Our area cannot handle such a large scale move of squatters.

#637

It is not the solution to the problem. It will amplify the problem

Chris Els (Tshwane, 2021-03-15)

#642

If this happens the crime in an already high crime area will climb. The SAPS already do not have the resources to service this area. The roads. Infrastructure would need to be upgraded as there would be a taxi rank needed and services provided which are already under pressure. These are zoned agricultural which is why folk bought there not to have noisy unruly neighbours. Our land values already in a downward spiral would then free fall. Then the municipality can expect the folk that are currently paying rates to stop .That would put farmers already in a vulnerable position in further danger in an area where the police are already unable to protect them.

Good day

I'm a concerned citizen of South Africa and it is my right to have a say about all the rdp and informal sqauter capms in our towns.

It's a big problem regarding the safety of our loved ons and children. They're not safe when these rdp houses are build in our towns.
Look at al the safety problems like strikes crime and murder rape ext.

If they aren't happy waht happens they blocke the road and putt other people's life's in danger.
Crime is a big problem in south Africa.
What about health and sanitation and maintenance on the drains ext.

It's not only me that feels this way.
We as a community have also a right and it's not the only problem.

1. Crime
2. Murder.
3. Robberies
4. Rubbish everywhere
5. Decrease of property value
6. Towns are getting dirty.
7. Strikes
And the list can go on.

Dewald du plessis

The community was not consulted on this matter or communicated. The municipality has to follow the the correct procedures, governed by the law

Seve Tavares (Pretoria Andeon, 2021-03-15)

Crime, noise and refuse removal are serious problems in Informal settlements. Informal settlements impact on the surrounding area and will have a bad negative impact on property values in the area. There is also no schools or employment opportunities in the area.

Lois Cloete (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#657

Since the informal settlement started the crime rates went up and if they do not get what they want they start violent protests throwing rocks at people and cars, burning tyres which damages roads etc. and we as taxpayers are the ones who have to cough up.

Johann Kriel (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#660

Crime rate already very high in area. Everybody want to live in a safe environment. Its not our responsibility to take responsibility for the goverments failures.

Charmaine Kirsten (Tswane, 2021-03-15)

#664

To stop bringing that to Andeon. It is bringing problems to our properties and is unsave.

Christa Lyon (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#671

I feel there is enough other open land to move the informal settlement to. Why uproot the people staying there already.

René Taljaard (Hermanus, 2021-03-15)

#677

We are trying to stay alive here.

Hester Van Zyl (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#701

my girlvriend and her family lives there and i dont want them to be unsafe at the location due to overpopulation of people in such a small area and it will not be good to the enviorment due to no correct facilities and no dump site ext. nature will be destroyed if they go there

werner van der westhuizen (groblersdal, 2021-03-15)

#713

All the informal settlements recidents are forced to strike, how long before the strikes move to this area? Our bosses doesn't care if roads are blocked by protesting crowds. How will we all be affected by strikes and crime that is already too much in our areas? Get rid of illegeal immigrants and get better laws in place to keep them at bay, better border patrol, then our own people wont need to be overpopulated by foreign people and there will be enough land and space for all. Stop corruption in all departments and service delivery will improve and thus new houses with running water and sanitation will be possible for all.

Jolene Van der walt (Swacinapark Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#720

I am against the extention of an informal settlement at Mack Street Andeon

Matilda Holtzhausen (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#724

I stay nearby, my mother is a widow and home alone every day. It will be a massive health risk and unfair to children for having to grow up in such circumstances-no electricity and water. The crime rate will increase heavily. Our properties will decrease in value, and our boreholes will be infected and infested with sicknesses. The roads are maintained poorly and this area is home of some extinct creatures and trees.

Kobus Truter (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#725

The promise were made that they will erect low cost housing, school and infra structure NOT SQUATTER CAMPS!!!

Wickus Nel (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#734

We don't want them here because of crime increases

Elaine Du Rand (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#740

Informal housing just increases the security risk of the area, and greatly increase crime rate, its not secure as the people in these settlements don't have any loyalty to the area, or to keep it kleen and neat, entire area's are desemate when these settlements move in

The rights of the property owners should be taken into consideration and not be forced to exept what ever comes their way.

Paul Heyman (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#780

There are a number of informal settlements in the area, Gomorra, Sunview, Zama Zama, 10 Rooms, 7 Palms, etc. Value of properties were already severely negatively impacted not reflecting in the recent municipal property hikes. Crime has become unbearable, infrastructure cannot carry it. Women and children already severely impacted, etc

Douwe Tempel (Pretoria, 2021-03-15)

#784

I'm signing because the infrastructure in thus area wil not be able to handle more squatters as there is a lot already and it Wil cause the market value of our family property to drop dramatically.
