People have had enough of this shit now. Camping is good for a persons soul and is healthy instead of sitting inside being gehok. The campsite owners also need to make a living and if campsites aren't too full there shouldn't be close contact.

#669

I believe getting out to hike for a weekend offers sufficient space for social distancing & allows for much needed relief as well as building up a very weak economy in our beautiful country.

Janice Herz (Johannesburg, 2020-06-27)

#670

It's absolutely riduculous that the camping ground are shut down due to COVID when millions commute etc daily. There is less chance of contracting this virus camping than going shopping at grocery stores.. Why should more businesses close down a d more jobs be lost? ...Can this country afford it?...no, it cannot. The economy must grow or countless numbers of people will starve.

Rosemary Parker (Port Shepstone, 2020-06-27)

#672

We love camping!

Elona Lubbe (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

#678

People need to work and feel camping can do no harm to anyone. If you can go to a casino surely you should be allowed to go camping.

Linda van dem Berg (Vereeniging, 2020-06-27)

#714

The minister needs to open Leasure Camping in all forms across provinces as the industry cannot take the extensive lockdown anymore. The caravan parks and lodges has already sufferd huge losses and staff has lost their jobs. To us as campers, its our way of life where we have practice social distancing for hundreds of years already. Open air is the best and safest form of holidaying. Camping is also good for our mental health and wellbeing as this is where we are safe and relaxed.

Hannes Van Der Vyver (SW1 Vanderbijlpark, 2020-06-27)

#726

The lockdown is totally crazy.

Bill Potgieter (Centurion, 2020-06-27)

#728

I'm one of the effected. I'm a tour operator and need inter-provincial travel to be enabled so I can continue with the self-drive safaris.

Juan Cronjé (Pretoria, 2020-06-27)

#732

Why must there be a tourism minister of there is no touring allowed. We can't go in season and the parks, are loosing millions on our longstanding bookings. If you can used casino toilets I am sure the ablution blocks at camping places will be more hygienic and sanitized.

Christel Rademan (Boksburg, 2020-06-27)
