I am signing because I am tired of the patriarchal society we live in. Our traditions also give man too much power, her husband killed her, contrary to the loving and protective husband he ought to be. Why do the inlaws want to hang on to their bodies?
Does it mean as women we are stuck with the families we are married into even against our will?

#769

I am signing because I cannot even begin to imagine how Phumla's mother is coping

(East London, 2019-10-16)

#771

This is too much for the Mvinjelwa family not having Phumla's kids to be buried with their mother while their killer is the Ntombela' s son now they are burying their son, why they don't have remorse of the act of their son? What is the motive behind this and this proves that there was no relation between the 2 family, no ties at all, so why the state do not release these bodies, cause it is the state that causes impact between these 2 families now, if the case was the murder the state suppose to investigate the case, now the focus is on the release of the bodies instant of investigations. The state must release these bodies and stop interfering on family issues, and start investigating this case cause now I feel that there is something may come up when investigations started.
