Naw***** ALL YALL that wants to keep us stagnant and living unde a rock

(Johannesburg, 2019-03-23)

#533

I'm a creative and this affects my personally, in my pocket.

(Pretoria, 2019-03-23)

#536

The Bill is not all bad, but it does mostly good for Tech Companies and does little for Composers / Authors. It pretends to be favoring Creatives, overemphasises the bit of good that it does for Users like Students and the wide-ranging exceptions leaves a lot open for Tech Giants to exploit, where they can afford any possible litigation against claims from a single creator. It does NOT address the Value Gap. It does NOT address Local Content.

(Cape Town, 2019-03-23)

#544

Creatives are the new athletes.

(Johannesburg, 2019-03-23)

#549

It is important for us to realize that our future and our legacy is reliant on our ability to create works that will benefit our families from generations to come. The only thing we really have as artists is our creative thoughts that we menifest into creative work. That work becomes our legacy so it is imperative that we protect the intellectual property of the works we produce. By not signing this bill you would be ensuring that you will never get to profit from the work you produce, which directly affect your family, your livelihood and legacy. Implore you, to join us in this act of moral standing this is bigger than just being a career this is a fight for your life’s work.

(Johannesburg, 2019-03-23)

#555

I’m a writer and I don’t want to be shortchanged, I don’t want any writers to be shortchanged. I also believe this amendment bill will ultimately reduce the amount of content coming from creatives from our country and will undo all the work that has been done promoting South African content and having our stories told by us. It will also mean the public won’t have enough choice and will have to rely on the usually one sided rhetoric of Western content.

(Durban, 2019-03-23)

#561

This copyright amendment bill terribly affect me as an independent artist.

(Johannesburg, 2019-03-23)
