It is unfair to the retirees to implement this plan. It will be too costly. I have alot of health issues and costs and cannot afford it.

Rolanda Pyle (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#4406

I do not want an Advantage Plan as some of my doctors take no advantage plans, I will need to wait for preauthorizations for my needed tests and only my doctor and I should determine my health care plan.

Patricia Prince (Huntersville, 2022-03-16)

#4418

We want the mayor have compassion for all retirees. They are more important issues to tend to such as crime

Donna Kielb (Shirley, ny, 2022-03-16)

#4419

I am signing this for two reasons: I started working for the City in 8/1982 and felt that I was accepting a job for less pay than in the private sector, but my future retirement would be protected (both pension and health benefits); and, I retired counting on the continuation of my pension and current City health benefits until I die.

Barbara Flynn (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#4435

I want to keep and Preserve my health Benifits as the were when I retired.

I am a retired NYC teacher and counselor. I have been a public servant and ask that we retain our health benefits that we have worked hard for. We deserve better than what our "leaders" have "given".

Diane Gallagher (Mount Vernon, 2022-03-16)

#4440

I’m asking the Mayor not to appeal this court ruling.

David Edick (Fort Myers, 2022-03-16)

#4442

Tired of NYC TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE RETIREES!!!

David Babolcsay (Northport, 2022-03-16)

#4444

We worked hard for the benefits that we earned and were promised. The cost of opting out of Medicare Managed Care is prohibitive for many. I have some specialized medical needs as a brain aneurysm survivor.

Karen Curley (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#4445

I'm signing this petition to let the unions, the Mayor and anyone else that NYC retirees deserve quality Healthcare. Regular Medicare was what we retired with and chose. We do not want anything else. It should be our right to choose without being penalized.

Carol Tortorici (Staten Island, 2022-03-16)

There is no doctors in Florida that accepts NYC Advantage Senior coverage. I have no choice but traditional Senior Care Medicare.

I think it is important that the city honor its original commitment to retirees of Cuny and all other unions in NYC.

Dorothy Ellis koprowski (Naples, 2022-03-16)

Russell Schneider (Riverview, 2022-03-16)

#4488

When I started teaching, we started with a very low salary in comparison to the private sector in exchange for promised benefits. Now after working for almost 40 years as an educator, I am relying on my benefits as a retiree. I am counting on you, the Mayor, to do the right thing. Preserve the benefits promised to all our retirees. It's the right thing to do and do not contest the Judge's court ruling on appeal. This was never supposed to happen and back door deals never end well. I was part of a generation that supported the city when it was broke, was fired in 1975 during the budget crisis, had no salary increase for 7 years after being rehired. We sacrifice enough to get the city out of a jam. Do the right thing.
Thank you

Joel Hanan (Boynton Beach, 2022-03-16)

#4489

I’m against Medical Advantage.
I’m signing the petition to
continuing to give retirees a choice of plans that address diverse, individual medical circumstances, such as retaining traditional Medicare-plus-supplemental coverage options.

Tatyana Okhotnikova (NY, 2022-03-16)

#4491

This is so unfair and affects many who are unable to navigate this.

Alison Loebel (Malverne, 2022-03-16)

#4493

I want to keep my medical coverage as is.

Lily Otero (Central Islip, NY, 2022-03-16)

#4495

I want to retain my medicare benefits as they are

Silvia Theofilatos (Jamaica, 2022-03-16)

Pensions don’t keep up with inflation, and medical coverage shouldn’t add to the financial burdens retirees face!

John Lockwood (Floral Park, 2022-03-16)

I’m 75 years old. I can not afford additional expenses.

John Murphy (Wantagh, 2022-03-16)

#4518

A deal is a deal and the city should keep its Health care promise to retirees!!

Joseph DeMasi (Howard Beach, 2022-03-16)

#4526

I’m a retiree who would be affected negatively with Medicate Advantage Plus.

Ruth Jacobs (New York, 2022-03-16)

#4527

I am against the changes in my health care!

Sandy Edelman (Merrick, 2022-03-16)

#4531

After working for 32 years at the Department of Education (both as a UFT member and as a manager)and now retired for 12 years, I think it is unconscionable for the city to change the health benefits that were promised to us for life in the middle of our “golden” years.

Ronnie Loeshelle (New York, 2022-03-16)

#4536

I think you should not mess with an agreement you made
. They did something similar to the military retirees with copays when they should of gotten free medical for life. Now it's out of control.

Dan Chaffin (New york, 2022-03-16)

How about they take benefits from the mayor

#4542

This will affect all of us deeply.

Brian Mcguire (HUNTINGDON VALLEY, 2022-03-16)

#4544

NYC retirees are being treated unfairly. Retirees who are 65 and older should be grandfathered into their current plan. The MAP should be an option for those who have not retired yet.

Phyllis OHanlon (Staten Island, NYC, 2022-03-17)

#4546

Mayor Adam’s please do not appeal the Courts decision so as to allow retirees to select health plan.

I’m signing because I worked for 44 years in the same hospital, making $10,000 less than my colleagues at private institutions, with the understanding that my insurance would be part of my retirement!!

Mary McCourt (Scarsdale, 2022-03-17)

#4554

What the city has proposed is a costly mess

Martin Stein (Bayside, 2022-03-17)

#4556

The Contractual obligations agreed upon by the City and it’s Unions, should not be reneged on, the City, to the detriment of its retirees who live on fixed incomes and cannot afford to pay for increased premiums because of this horrible agreement between the two largest Unions (DC 37 and the UFT) and the DeBlasio administration.

Dianne Haynes (Durham, 2022-03-17)

#4558

Strength in numbers is necessary to fight for our rights that we earned.

John Brown (North Port, 2022-03-17)

#4559

I and my wife would prefer to remain in our present Medicare and senior GHI Emblem health plans at this time and cannot afford the $400.00 a month to pay for the secondary ghi senior plan.

#4560

Joseph Monroig (Tampa, 2022-03-17)

I’m signing because I believe you would agree that the City should not invalidate its agreement with retirees to provide us outstanding health care in retirement in recognition of our service.

Dana R Sutton (New York, 2022-03-17)

#4578

There were deficiencies in the original proposed Medicare Advantage plan. There must be more consideration of those who have special circumstances.

William Shenton (Aberdeen Township, 2022-03-17)

#4580

Retirees should not be penalized because of the city’s poor planning and inept budgeting practices. We worked under a legal contract that guaranteed our health benefits as we knew them, not some MAP plan.

Deborah Farley (Sunnyside, NY, 2022-03-17)

#4583

I don’t want to be in a Medicare Advantage Plan. I want to keep my Medicare/Senior Care plan I currently have & do not want to have to pay any additional money to do so. I don’t want an insurance company to decide what tests are important. I want my dr to make that decision.

Ilene Chapnick (Lake Worth, FL, 2022-03-17)

Rosina Volino (Levittown, 2022-03-17)

#4591

As a NYC retiree my current health care plan is most important to me. It protects me medically, physically and psychologically. I want to keep my Medicare and Emblem Health and be forced to change to a Medicare Advantage Plus Plan.
