Bonaero has long been neglected. Before you allowed the building of In 2 Foods plus the new erection going up, we consistently raised the issues of inadequate sewerage and failing water supply.
We have never ending problems and no solutions in sight.
1. Sewerage constantly pushing up in residents properties.
2. Continual blockages on a weekly basis.
3. Raw sewerage in a wildlife sanctuary. The stench prevents residents having joy of their property. Children are ill and won't eat well as they feel sick. Bacteria and germs as well as human excrement is out in the open and polluting our dam, soil and water and the very air we breathe.
4. In addition we are CONSTANTLY without water. How do you prevent Covid if your backyard is a cesspit and there is no water to clean with?
5. Refuse collection is slipping again. One more health risk!
6. OUR LIFE SAVINGS lies tied up in our properties. The Metro's constant service delivery failures and lack of preventative maintenance as well as inadequacy in addressing infrastructure problems for so many years now, is turning our investment into JUNK!

NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE IN A SUBURB PLAGUED BY WEEKLY ELECTRICITY, WATER, REFUSE COLLECTION FAILURES AND SEWERAGE ISSUES.

WHY IS OUR BIGGEST LANDMARK BESIDES THE AIRPORT "POO LAKE"?

It is blatently obvious to even the biggest idiot, that current leadership - from the mayor down to the repair team supervisors - are incapable of running this suburb in a proper manner.

Mr Mayor - kindly resign as you promised to do in public in the past. We would LOVE to be rid of you and have an option of someone who actually CAN run a metro. If the ANC has failed so long, give the DA a chance. We are without fail very impressed with the metros they DO run. Unlike Ekurhuleni.

I'm signing because I live around the affected lake. Every other day we have to contend with the overwhelming stench that fills the air within the radius of the lake. I cannot believe how unbearable it is for the people staying right next to the poo lake. I believe a continued retention of the status quo is a violation of the right to health for all of us.
The Municipality and City of Ekurhuleni executive have to be held accountable.

Clean fresh air is not a nice to have. It's a basic human right.

I also believe this petition is a piecemeal approach. If I lived directly opposite the said lake I would have sued the City of Ekurhuleni by now.

I'm signing because we were facing a sewer blockage problem in our area and the action took long to be attended while the sewer was flowing into my property the whole day . I reported the issue on the 12/07/2020 at 07:25am and the people from the municipality only came around 12:35pm and left without doing anything, they said they were coming back later with the truck but they only came back in the midnight and the whole street sewerage was flowing to my own house. I was not happy with their services because my whole yard and house was messed up full of toilet shit and rubbish.
