The Legions motto is Service not self. Why are they deciding to withdraw this Service which is well needed across all regions. in this day and age, more veterans will be needing support. As a BCS (welfare) rep for a branch, guidance has been given to 7 different families as to how to get into Bennet House. The feedback I have been given as to how much they enjoyed the facility. Indeed they believe in some cases this has prevented the need for additional support. In the email from the DG, it mentioned that this type of support was available elsewhere but no guidance as to how as a rep we could assist with getting access to this. It is time for the board of trustees to speak up and sort it out.

They give the elderly and people who have been I'll a much needed break and with them being in different areas they are easy for people to get to, without them having to travel too far. The case working needs alot more people to do it and we know in some areas caseworkers are in very short supply. These areas are going to struggle and ve unable to meet demand.
