My 5 month old was discharged from hospital and I was told maternal stress, all in my head. Less than 11hours later I had to ring 999. Her sats were down to 39% left for just a couple more minutes and skyla would have been brain dead or even worse. Hospitals do not care anymore. Staff are negligent. Appalling

Far too many children get sent home from hospital wrongly diagnosed, tests should of been carried out, this baby was too young to not do that too, its shameful.

Some thing similar happen to me with my son, I'm lucky he's here today if it wasn't for me taking him to a different hospital seeing a different doctor he would not be here now.I found Margate hospital (rainbow ward) a complete night mare .under staffed and as a result make mistakes which can cost lives. My son stopped breathing he got rushed to Margate they said he had a breathing episode and held his breath. Did no tests on him and sent us home. It happened again a day latter.I asked to go to a different hospital we went to canterbury. They doctor took one took at him and said he's very poorly I can tell just by looking at him. Arranged for all tests to be done. Went bk to Margate they did his bloods . My son only had quarter of his red blood cells and no iron resulting in no oxygen getting round his body.Even when they found out what was wrong with my son who was so poorly it still took three days to get medication for him because they said they had lost his notes . I'm so glad once he got his medication we were under canterbury and they have been great checking his blood and other tests that needed to be done. I remember as if it was hell being on that ward and as a parent all you want to do is make your child better and you put your trust in doctors that to be honest your just a number coming through the door the quicker they discharge you the better for them but it's not the case children suffer because of this.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT A FINANCIAL STATE OUR NATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM IS IN BUT NO HILDENBOROUGH SHOULD LOSE THEIR LIFE BECAUSE THE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME
OR CARE TO GIVE. WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING IF THE CARE WE ALL DESERVE AND HAVE THE RIGHTTO EXPECT IS NOT GOING TO BE GIVEN. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME OR THE LAST TIME A LIFE HAS BEEN LOST .TRAGIC!!!

Young children are way more susceptible to getting illnesses which can develop at rapid paces, all hospitals and nhs staff need to be a lot more thorough when children and babies are being submitted to hospital. Mothers know their babies best and when something just isn’t right. No child should be dismissed from hospital without having all tests done to be precautionary. Staff need to be a lot more vidulant and a lot less dismissive.
