Ons will nou kamp!!!

JCB Stoltz (Volksrust, 2020-06-28)

I cannot see why the camping community must remain closed.
We need our regular camp. Being one with nature and just relaxing during this stressed time. Lots of people are employed on the industry and need income to look after their families. This lockdown is crippling through whole country and the economy.
The death rate of the virus is 2% vs recovery rate of 50+%.

Cathy Combrinck (Mogale City, 2020-06-28)

#2004

We are pensioners. Need to camp en go to warmer areas.

It is ridiculous that we can’t camp in the open & practice social distancing but we can visit a casino where you are crammed into a crowded space. It makes no sense.

#2101

It is time to open up

Estee Esterhuizen (Pennington, 2020-06-28)

#2102

Caravan parks plus their ablution facilities are cleaner than the facilities in a shopping mall etc. Plus we stay in our own caravan in our own space in the open air in the sunshine, the virus cannot survive in sunlight either.
So why can we not go camping in our caravan?? Yet we can go to a casino????

Shirley Gezorke (Alberton, 2020-06-28)

#2103

Because I like camping and outdoor life

Chris Labuschagne (Brits, 2020-06-28)

#2104

Too many jobs have already been lost, camping sites need workers to maintain the sites. Rates and taxes still have to be paid by the owners who have no income, so even the camp sites are threatened. Surely with controlled numbers, these sites can have opened? Please save jobs, camp sites and open up the sites so regular campers can once again enjoy the outdoors.

Glenda Bennett (Salt Rock, 2020-06-28)

#2108

I feel that camp sites need to open.

Stefanus Erasmus (Pretoria, 2020-06-28)

#2120

It is ridiculous that 7 people can travel in a taxi, but 2 or 3 or 4 cannot camp, seeing that they would have been together in one house anyway.

David Fritz (Pringle Bay, 2020-06-28)

#2143

Lenard Anders (Onverwacht, 2020-06-28)

#2144

There is more sanitation in a caravan ablusion than in most mall toilets. Camping occures in an open space, thus there is less chance of getting the virus.

Ruben Bloomberg (Pretoria, 2020-06-28)

#2146

We can make camping safe, and in the process help employees in the camping industry to survive economically.

#2161

You can camp while applying social distancing. After the stressful period we have just gone through and considering how long it may last we need to have something we find comfort in. A break to help you forget about the virus, the deaths, the stress.

Madeleine De Bruin (Centurion, 2020-06-28)

#2163

Social distancing is better observed with camping and self catering accommodation because we all have our own space....

Pieter Pretorius (Bronkhorstspruit, 2020-06-28)

#2181

Camping needs to open in Kruger National Park. We isolated in caravans and dont need shops or restaurants and if necessary can bring along a portable shower. We have portable toilets so do not need ablution facilities. With all this in place we are far safer than people staying in huts that need to get serviced regularly.
