I lost all of my jobs a week ago since there I’ve been looking for a job and everyone says the same “sorry but we don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow”, yeah it’s been terrible moments to stay here as student visa, without job, far from family, and a lot of bills to pay, including school, rent, food, etc. I hope we can have any support from the Australian government, I know it was my choice to live here as student visa but who knew that we would have this terrible situation.Marlon Bezerra (Gold Coast, 2020-03-27)

I've been living in Melbourne for over 4 years and I have contributed to the country in a number of ways (labour and taxes are only a few examples). Australia is a country made by immigrants and the operates smoothly due to the hard work of temporary residents to a big extent.Erico de Godois Baroni (Melbourne, 2020-03-27)

I'm signing because temporary visa holders pay their dues by; paying an exorbitant amount for their visas in the first place; by doing essential work Australians don't want to do, by paying taxes, and by enriching us culturally. They are also human beings, for Christ's sake, not digits.Bob Hayward (Brisbane, 2020-03-27)

The financial situation that involves every person living in Australia, or any part of the world, its beyond them.International students and WH Visa holders have no right to claim or obtained any benefit provided by the Australian Government regarding the CoVid 19 pandemic.
We came to this country with working rights, we pay taxes, superannuation. We contribute to the economy of this country like any other Aussie citizen but we are denied any help.
We are told to go back home when there is no flights and the borders of Our countries are closed.
We are here and as in a past time Australia use, and abuse, our cheap labour. We, the foreigners with working rights, ask for financial help. Cease of rent, college tuition fees, and financial help.

I came to Melbourne for a better career in the Financial Services Industry. I was offered a great job, a dream job!!! However, they have now said I wont be hired until after all of the Coronavirus restrictions are lifted as they are all working from home. I am putting my elderly parents under financial pressure to pay for my rent and food in Melbourne and I dont know how sustainable this situation is for me. I've applied for every supermarket, pharmacy and essential business to get cash but no hope yet. This would not be a long term welfare payment, a short term payment to assist those who have no choice and need to sustain basic human necessities.Niamh Smith (St Kilda, 2020-03-27)

I agree about the statement that the Australian government has a very vague approach towarda the temporary visa holders. We also pay taxes and boy, HUGE TAXES! We pay health insurance, car insurance, car loans, etc. We contribute heaps to the Australian economy, but why are we left behind?Maye Javier (Yarloop, 2020-03-27)
