Release of Humanitarian Fund at SARB and Standard Bank

"Stop the Unlawful Freezing of South African Funds in Standard Bank and SARB!!!

The purpose of this petition is to demand the immediate release of funds belonging to South African citizens and traditional leaders that have been illegally frozen in accounts at Standard Bank and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB). This unlawful withholding of money is a gross violation of the rights and freedoms of the South African people.

Across South Africa, families, communities, and traditional authorities are suffering the consequences of having their rightful funds held hostage without their consent. These frozen assets are critical resources that support livelihoods, infrastructure, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The unjust seizure of these funds is causing immense hardship and depriving South Africans of the means to thrive.

According to financial records, over several million of rands in funds belonging to South African individuals and organizations have been illicitly frozen by Standard Bank and SARB without any legal justification or due process. This is a clear abuse of power that undermines the financial sovereignty of the South African people.

We, the undersigned, demand that Standard Bank CEO, Mr Sim Tshabalala and SARB Governor, Mr Lesetja Kganyago immediately unfreeze all illegally withheld funds and restore them to their rightful South African owners. These unethical actions cannot be tolerated, and we call on all concerned citizens to join us in signing this petition to protect the financial rights of our nation.

Together, we can put an end to this injustice and ensure that the resources of the South African people are rightfully returned to them. Sign this petition now to make your voice heard.
