Help ban Rodeo cruelty in Wollongong!

Animal cruelty is not entertaining! No animals should suffer at the hands of human entertainment! Rodeos are Cruel, unnecessary and outdated. This isn’t sport, it’s exploitation and has no place in our modern society.

Countless animals have paid with their lives to satisfy humans’ desire. Animals in rodeos commonly suffer broken bones, torn ligaments, and spinal injuries, many of which can be fatal. They exhibit signs of severe distress and buck as an instinctive response to fear, discomfort and pain.

Rodeos take normally tame, docile animals and provoke them into behavior that makes them appear to be fierce and aggressive. Rodeos consider these animals to be cheap, expendable, and replaceable. They are used time and again before their bruised and battered bodies end up at a slaughterhouse.

Rodeo 4 life is set to host a bull riding event on Saturday, November 30, 7pm at Wollongong WIN entertainment centre. This event must be stopped.

We ask you to join us in calling on Wollongong WIN Entertainment Centre to commit to never hosting an inhumane rodeo event like bull riding again.

Staging such events at Wollongongs iconic entertainment facility is inhumane, unethical and outdated, making Wollongong appear backward when compared with contemporary attitudes towards animals and their welfare.

By signing this petition, we can get the message out that this 'sport' is not okay - subjecting animals to stress and fear for the sake of entertainment is unethical and unacceptable!

There are many other ways to raise money that do not exploit animals for entertainment.
