Robbinsdale should keep it's first class character.

The most beautiful and unique theater ever! If there is a restoration I encourage everyone to have the experience. In a world of too many forced changes it would be nice to have some things stay the same. So many memories.

A good share of my growing-up years were in North Minneapolis and the Terrace was always a great place to go to see a movie.

I love old buildings with character.

This country destroys too much of it's history in order to make way for the next structure that will be subsequently brushed aside when it is deemed "obsolete" in another half-century. Here's hoping someone with the means and vision can restore the Terrace to glory.

The big treat when I was a young'un was to go to the Terrace Theater and see the big screen spectaculars, such as Ben Hur and The Ten Commandments.

The Terrace Theatre has fond memories for many. My husband and I, too, had our first date at the Terrace in 1961.We saw Ben Hur with Charlton Heston. We have been married for 52 years. It would be a shame to see it torn down if someone is willing to restore a wonderful facility for family entertainment. I would think the city of Robbinsdale would want to see new growth and a place where residents and neighboring cities could go right in their neighborhood.

My aunt Betty Mingo used to work at the terrace. I have spent many an afternoon watching movies at the Terrace.

The terrace was the class act of theaters
We used to walk the median when Broadway turned into a 4 lane
And go to the movie

I think it is easy to think buildings from this era aren't of value. This is so beautiful!

Minneapolis is known for destroying it's history. This theatre was beautiful and could be a draw for people looking for the whole package experience.

I grew up going to movies at the Terrace theater and hoped one day to take my grandchildren to movies at the beautiful Terrace Theater.

I'm seeing a lot of great passionate comments here!  I'm a lot like those commenting; I spent my childhood in this theater and have wonderful memories here, none the least of which is the super cool lobby area.  This could be a new landmark for Robbinsdale that draws weddings, live performances, lectures and movies.  I'd love to be a part of the re-purposing project!

We fought for three years to save the Orth House in Minneapolis. At the conclusion, it was infuriating to discover that the owner, the developer, the real estate broker, the architect, the professional consultant all lied about the condition of the building.
They act as if the building is a menace. It is a lazy approach to real estate development.

No reason why the building can't be saved, reused, sharing the site with Hyvee.

I went to the Terrace Theater as a child. Have wonderful memories. Please remodel and make a theater: I would bring my family to carry on those memories.

This theatre has an incredible amount of potential, and could be the next Riverview; ala aesthetic and programming.

Believe some places need to be preserved - not convinced reason to demolish is justified and an alternative solution found

I believe to demolish the theater is short sighted. I grew up in an arts city where hundreds of year old buildings have been preserved and now reused or re purposed. A character of a place is determined by how it treats it's history & this includes it's buildings
