Fly the flag for our Forces , past and present

Get it up, keep it up, show some respect.

Why cant WE fly our flag? every other country does everywhere around the world there are flags flying we different we have a spineless government that won't stand up and say......
"Yes our forces past and present need to know we are proud of them we fly the flag for them!!".

I want to see the British and English flag flying from our public buildings. I do not ever want to see the EU flag being flown anywhere in this country.

I think the Union Flag should as in other countries be compulsory flown on all public buildings

We should be able to fly our own flag in our own country, if ethnic minorities don't like it then they need to go back to their own countries.

Our flag should fly from every building everywhere

Dover and Folkestone played important roles in both WW1and WW2, it should be recognised and never forgotten for the greater good of all.

We should not be afraid or ashamed of our national heritage, ever. Nor should we be hesitant in display of such, in any form.

There should be no arguement here! It's our town. Our country and we want to honour our men and women!

I want the flag to fly for all of those who gave their lives for our freedom & to show respect for my ancestors that dies too early.

This is badly needed, how absurd we don't have one given our history!! Also badly needed to prove that we can fly our flag for patriotic reasons and not for racist ones xx

Every town and village in foreign lands fly their countries flag and so should we. Even tiny villages up a Greek mountain fly their country's flag so why not us????

We shouldn't have too petition about things for our forces it should be automatic

having just returned from France wher our flag is flown with pride and in great abundance publicly and in private gardens - along of course with flags of other nations

I find it appalling that the Dover Mayor and Council did not honour her dead on such an anniversary -shame on them all have they visited the war graves in France to see for themselves how emotional it is with rows and rows of headstones of those who died for them for their freedom if not I suggest they go take a look ---get rid of these people they do not deserve to represent the people of Dover or any where else for that matter FLY THE FLAG IN PERPETUITY

#28: -  The new leader of our council has decreed that the EU flag be flown from our civic buildings in BARKING ESSEX shame on them - they do not listen to the people - obviously we have objected but are dismissed by these bureaucrats - and they have their own personal way just because they think they have the power to do what they want - we want oput of EU and have told them so in our thousands  so to fly the flag is a real slap in the face - appalling -PATRIOT 1

 

This is just another example of the self serving officials who do not represent us.
