Call for President Ramaphosa to remove Ekurhuleni Mayor Masina!

We, the undersigned residents, call on President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action against Executive Mayor Cllr. Mzwandile Masina for breaking his oath of office. Masina’s latest utterances on social media, where he agrees with Julius Malema’s statement calling for “The Collapse of the White Economy”, are divisive, racist and has the potential to stoke fear among the City’s residents, at a time when we desperately need unity. Masina’s comments undermines President Ramaphosa’s vision for a united South Africa taking on the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic poses to our economy.  

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Masina has made divisive utterances as he continues to use his position of power to sow division within our communities. We can no longer stand by and let the Executive Mayor abuse his oath of office at the expense of its residents – enough is enough!
