The phone ban requires pupils to lock their phones in bags for the whole school day, they claim it's for pupil safety, but it only hinders learning because it stops pupils from easily accessing online resources, which the school provides and encourages them to use. It also costs £15 each which is a ridiculous price for a unnecessary product. There are also many loopholes to it that people will abuse, so it would require much refining and unnecessary costs. There should be a different solution that reaches a middle ground between pupils and staff/slt.
