Petition to reinstate the suspended Mayor of Townsville

Please sign and share this petition to reverse the unlawful suspension of our duIy elected Townsville Independent Mayor Troy Thompson.
We believe his recent suspension was the result of politically motivated self interests of council members and State entities.
The allegations against Mr Thompson are vague and ambiguous and have not faced cross examination in an official tribunal hearing.
The gov is relying almost entirely on S122 of the Local Govt Act where the Minister 'reasonably believes' it is in the public interest that a councillor be suspended or dismissed. So in this case a Minister was able to suspend a Mayor without due process.
