UNEMPLOYMENT PLIGHT FACING SOCIAL WORKERS IN SOUTH AFRICA

TO: MR PRESIDENT CYRL RAMAMPHOSA

We as unemployed social workers in South Africa hereby expressing our deepest concerns of remaining unemployed yet holding our qualifications.

Mr President as unemployed social workers in South Africa we have reached a decision to unite across all provinces so that we communicate our deepest concerns of unemployment plight facing social workers in South Africa.

Mr President, we propose your interventions to bring about effective resolutions as department of social development  failed to advocate for us in plight we are facing.

Mr President every year we are entitled  to pay for our practice yet unemployed. We have lost our beloved colleagues due to failure of system to support us.

Social problems are esculate in South Africa requires us to intervene  whereas we are not considered  for employment.

At schools there are so many social problems that requires availability of social workers on a full time basis.

Mr President we totally  disapprove of historical reports stating that no budget to hire social workers as we have been noticing how budget is mismanaged in South Africa.

Mr President we have studied with hope to bring change in our communities and support our families.

Working experience,  age restrictions and how each was funded remain a huge challenge and barriers to be dealt with.

Some of us have studied  through nsfas, self cash and others through bursary of social development however we can not accept being rejected we propose fair opportunities for all of us regardless of how each was funded.

Mr President  we can not remain unemployed  yet we are voting what we are voting for if we remain jobless with our qualifications.

We are calling upon urgent positive respond it is enough now, no more qualified  Social workers will reamin unemployed  in South Africa all the departments should work together to ensure a creation of job opportunies for us as social workers.

Mr President we have been neglected never been recognised even in budget nothing been said of unemployed qualified practioners.

We need transformation unemployment plight must now come into an end and injustices must be abolished.

We strongly demand more responsive interventions which will improve and promote employment  of Social workers.

We as unemployed social workers giving 14 days waiting period for a respond.
