I’m signing because overseas temporary workers help us and our economy.
We should help them.
They do jobs that us Australians don’t want to do ( ie working holiday farm work visa requirements)
And they also pay tax. (With no minimum thresh hold. $18,200 for Australians)

I think they deserve the same compassion that we all expect as Australians.

I’m signing because I’m currently unemployed and there are is financial support for Graduate Visa holders. Even the early access of superannuation is for only permanent residents and citizens. Please give us a clear understanding about the benefits we could get from the Government in this difficult and challenging situation of COVID -19.

Concerned every day about where my next meal will come from. Please help us!!

I'm signing this since I'm an international student, now unemployed from my casual work within hospitality, that usually support me and my studies.
I still have school, they just put everything online but still the same timetable and compolsury attendance, requiring us to have more resources at home, since the campus facilities are not longer available.
There is no oppertunity to work and the bills are still rolling in. Any kind of help and financial support for us immigrants during this hard time would be more than appriciated!

My name is Pia and I am currently on my work and holiday visa. I am living in Australia more then two years now. In January I found out that I am pregnant. When we understood how bad the situation will be in Australia we bought me a ticket to Germany, so that my baby and I are safe financially. Emirates cancelled my ticket last minute and we don't have money to buy another one, as we did not get a refund yet.. it will take more then one month. The government support or superannuation would help us to survive the next weeks. My husband is a student and has to pay 1000 $ a month for school. We both lost our jobs..
I hope that my signature will help

Thank you
Pia

My son is attending school in Australia and has recently lost his job due to the covid 19 virus. He had no monies to pay for food ...his rent...or school fees (and his college is still requesting next month payment!) His family in Canada have also temporarily lost their jobs (because of the virus) so are unable to send any funds. How is he supposed to self isolate or even survive the next month's or more?

I am signing because I feel that international students have no support from the government even knowing that we pay a lot of taxes and spend most of our money in Australia. I feel like we stay behind when we need the government to look after us and we are here by ourselves. I understand that the priority is the locals, citizens and residents but I really hope that the government do not forget about international people.

I’m a working holiday maker who feels as though the government should show some solidarity to travellers who pay taxes and work in remote places to contribute to the Australian economy. It’s more than fair that those affected are acknowledged by stimulus packages going forward.

I am on a temporary visa and have been living in Australia for 7 years. I have always supported this country, paid my taxes and followed all rules and regulations. There are others like me too living here. With all the policies and safety nets that have been put out, temporary visa holders have not received any help. It is a shame that despite contributing to Australia's economy in the past, we are not receiving any relief.
