I want the Dec 2021 APC results released first before the rewrite takes place

If you passed the exam, it would not be necessary to write the exam again.

I’m signing because I believe SAICA has not fully considered the candidates needs prior to their board’s decision on re-writing the exam prior to results being issued.

I'm signing because I believe it is more fair to release results first before the rewrite

The decision made by SAICA puts every single candidate at a disadvantage.
No consultation was held with us prior to them making their decision.
This is exceptionally unfair.
We demand that the results of the 1 December 2021 sitting be released, so that we, as the disadvantaged, can make our own decision as to whether we would like to rewrite or not.

I am signing because I would like SAICA to release the results on the exam written on 1 Decemeber 2021 before I have to rewrite the APC.

I’m signing because SAICA is trying to be slick and punitive to the candidates unnecessarily. Release results before the re-write!

As a member of Saica I feel that this is extremely unfair to future members and is shameful, unprofessional treatment of paying participants.

Students pay a lot of money for this exam and are getting treated very poorly. The fact that Saica ordinary annual membership fees are so high with bare bone benefits shows that the entity is really taking its participants for a ride. This exam shows very poor management within Saica and shows the organizations priorities. I personally will not be renewing my Siaca membership next year.

SAICA before consulting anyone toke the decision that it was fine to knowingly let a number of students continue with the exam even though SAICA new beforehand that their laptops was not right. This was not fair to anyone and this could have been anybody writing the test. To now claim that releasing all results at once is fair is being a hypocrite as they were first to have no regard to the fairness of the exam

I do not want to write before I have received my results

The candidates want the paper marked, the members want the paper marked and employees will want the paper marked - so mark the paper!

I am a member who is in complete solidarity with the candidates on this matter, it is the least that should be offered by SAICA after candidates have written an 8 hour exam and experienced the stress of the disruptions that occurred

Kevin Alcock (Port Elizabeth, 2021-12-09)

I feel it is only fair that we receive our marks first, and those who don’t pass can rewrite as a “supp” paper.

I was also affected by the technical issues, delaying Information on the day to be handed out approximately 30mins later, but cut-off time for the exam still being the same time (no extension due to the delay). I do want my results first, because why should we rewrite an exam we may possibly pass, due to SAICA not performing due care with the technology capabilities.

Enrico Coleman (Windhoek, 2021-12-10)

You need to release results

Courtney Smyth (Johannesburg, 2021-12-10)

#729

Release the results then let those who were unsuccessful rewrite. That is the logical thing to do.

The incompetence displayed in the shambles at the exams is inexcusable. I suggest they mark these exams and only make those that failed rewrite. It is cruel not to mark these exams. Board exams are extremely nerve racking and these people have been working toward this for years. SAICA should mark asap so these candidates can get on with their lives. We need to see consequences for those in charge

I'm signing the petition because I believe that the release of marks before suggesting rewrites for the remainder that was unsuccessful is the only fair way to proceed.

Forcing candidates to rewrite is punishing candidates for SAICA's incompetence and errors. If they would like to fast track the process, let it be the marking process that is fast tracked to show they are taking responsibility, not shifting the blame as they are doing with the current decision.
